    In Response to Re: UKOPS - The Thread : ^^^ this plus there are going to be tonnes of satellites for every one of the UKOPS events so i do not really see the problem as people are still going to be able to satellite in for a small amount compared to actual buy ins even if there was a mini ukops people will still not be happy that the £530 buy in is £53 etc i don't have the bankroll to buy in direct to every event but i will still be attemptin satellites for every tournament as then you are basically playing the tournament as if it is a 'micro tournament' as you are in for such a little amount

    ALL Satellites will be based upon "guaranteed Seats", NOT "1 seat in x" EXCEPT "micro-sats". (See next Post). Every satellite will be capped, & will carry GUARANTEED Seats, irrespective of number of runners.

    I don't know, I'm afraid, in fact until we have our Weekly Channel 865 Briefing with Mother this afternoon, I don't actually know what the plans are, if any, to show recorded UKOPS Super Sats, but they might.  

    They will deffo cover the "Live" Super-Sat action on Thursdays & Sundays though, maybe even Saturday.

    Welcome to the Forum, & well done on binking that Main Event Seat! Now finish the job, & win the Main Event proper.

    Firstly hello to everyone as this is my first post - hopefully in time I will be playing in more of the decent tournies so my name will be recognised.....dont know why there would be any negativity about this series. As a fairly low stake player (and fairly new to the site), the satellites are a great opportunity to get into the sort of tournaments any aspiring poker player would want to play in. I can only hope I run better than the 2 satellites I have been ruined in so far (sob sob, bad beat stories already!!!). All he best. DB

    Had hours of fun in the UKOPS Sattelites today for just £2.60 ended up just 4 places from a prize of a main event entry and that means I can now do it all over again now! :D

    Can't play the main event - so these super-overlay sats no good for me

    So played the other UKOPS sat tonight - seemed a bit expensive but decided to give it a go.

    Woohoo - made it through a very tough field - now time to find out what it is that I have won an entry for

    UKOPS4 - ie a £530 entry £25,000 event - omygod omygod omygod

    thank you Sky - you are the best - I love you TK (figuratively)

    got 2nd in a ukops super sat on 20 oct  at 9pm (yestaday), didnt get the UKOPS Main Event seat yet. There seems to be a mistake oo, Tournament ID: 5244019

    EDIT: talked to an advisor and they fixed it :D

    Is there a reason why the ukops 1 semi sat (9:15pm) has a structure of 5 min blinds?
    Seems a bit fast to me for a £24 bi.

    You don't get much bigger than this!
    This weekend on Sky Poker it's a blockbuster- Carlo and I on both nights bringing you live pokertainment from 9pm AND updates and phonecalls from the first leg of the brand new SPT season as it kicks off at Dusk Till Dawn!
    See the SPT thread which is already up and running + the full live stream from the event on Saturday afternoon onwards on this very site!
    BUT this weekend is just the starters- because here comes the main course. The next 3 live shows on 865 have been given over entirely to the juggernaught that is the first ever UKOPS!

    My only critisism of UKOPS is the satelites could have lasted longer as its such a big event for Sky and its gonna be over within a week or so

    The satelites have proved popular and could have run for an extra few weeks with more time building up to the main events

    There’s also a Semi final to tomorrow night’s £10,000 UKOPS event 2 at 9.15pm tonight. 


    And we're planning to run the above every night this week!

    My only gripe is that these UKOPS events aren't on the TV. If Sky Poker were looking for this to be massive it would have been nice for people to see themselves on TV. The first one is on Thursday and is the £530 High Roller which will contain the same old same old. All the players who are on Sky the whole time in the big buy-in events. Guess I'll have to hope you don't focus on those same players when covering the Main Event. Best of luck to all taking part. Rant over.lol. Best wishes. Shaun the Villa fan in Bham

    I agree with Shaun, what's the point of hyping up these events if they're not going to be on TV when all that's running are repeats of previous shows?
    If they want people to come back for more i don't think it's fair to entice people in and then not use such an amazing tool like having their own TV channel to broadcast the events on.
    This (UKOPS) is easily the biggest thing to ever happen to SkyPoker so i can't grasp why they arn't trying to make it something that isn't just a 1-off rake generating machine. It has real potential and i hope they listen to the players and realise that this has legs for the future given the right direction.
    (all of this is just my opinion though, obviously :)

    I spent a great deal of time following the thread this weekend on the live event at DTD. Great entertainment. Now another premium event for Sky with UKOPS but no updates?  I dont get it - ideal opportunity for Sky to keep us minnows in the pool
