A Brand New Omaha League................

hi all after the success of the Omahartigan league 2 (OHL2), and asking a few who took part, it seemed there was a space to keep something similar going.

after sending an Email today Sky Poker have confirmed that they are happy for a league to run using existing tournaments.

so for all 394 players who took part in James' omaha league, and for those who didn't Tuesday night's can continue to be a bit of fun,

I'm currently finalising a few things, so will announce more shortly.

I hope all on the community will if possible support, and, if any teams fancy having a side league i'm sure we could accomodate it.

so far all I can tell you is that it will be a 4 week league, and will use the same scoring system as was used in OHL2

I missed the Omahartigan but I'm up for this as long as the buy-ins are reasonable which I'm sure they will be.

I'd be interseted but I think the scoring could be tweaked to keep it tighter and more interesting.

I'd suggest:

1st - 20pts
2nd - 16pts
3rd - 14pts
4th - 12pts
5th - 11pts
6th - 10pts
7th - 9pts
8th - 8pts
9th - 7pts
10th - 6pts
4pts for surviving half the field.
2pts for registering.

I'm definitely in. I'll be out of the country for 2 weeks in December so I might not be able to play all 4 weeks, but I will play as many as possible.

just to let you know I'm currently awaiting final clarification of tournys and such,

I have no problem in going with Darntootin's idea for scoring if the majority want to

keep up the word spreading Bill the more the merrier lol
