The bh tournies are popular cause you dont have to be a top 10 player to get some of your money back. Win a couple of flips and you have your buy in back. Play a normal game and you need more than a bit of luck to win BH are really more of a gamblers game than a freezeout or better still a doublestack.
On a slightly different approach do you northink its worth upping the gaurantees on some of these tournies as they are getting regularly smashed. Bigger gaurantee draws in a bigger crowd bit of a self fullfilling prophecy.
In Response to Re: why so many damn bounty hunter tourneys? : hey Tk, ever thought they are so popular because they are all thats running >? just a thought!!! hunterlad Posted by Hunterlad
We have to listen to our customers, Mr Hunter, & they have overwhelmingly shown that the majority of them want more Bounty Hunters.
You might not like it, I might not like it, but the majority do - there can be NO debate around that, the stats prove it.

been watching with great interest the situation with bounties v deep stacks/freeze outs and i tell you what the numbers on both are pretty even, obviously this is dependant on the price of the tourney.
Hi all dont post around here often but just thought id add my opinion.
Im a recreational player. I dont have a bankroll system I simply play with what I can afford to lose. On a weekend I may decide to stay in rather than spend £100+ on a night out. If this is the case I treat myself to a bigger than normal deposit and get stuck into some MTTs.
Bounty Hunters are my favourite. Im confident that if I apply myself and play as well as I can then I can usually finish in the top third. In BHs this gives me two chances, firstly to finish in a cash spot or secondly by my exit ive probably taken one or two scalps which will either go some way to getting back some of my buy in amount or even make a small profit. My favourite MTT is the £2k BH for £11.
Obviously its each to their own. Rebuys put me off but I understand theyll be others favourites.
Anyhow heres my vote in favour. Long live the Bounty Hunter!
I don`t think Hunterlad or any of us who prefer £20g or Deep Stack as opposed to BH and RB want either of those to be changed in any way.
Not one of us wants to spoil anyone else's fun; indeed, all we are asking is to be allowed to share the evening enjoyment by having one or two £20g or DS included in the menu.

Your original question - & thread title - was "why so many Bounty Hunter tourneys?", & that was what I addressed.
I'm another big fan of Sky's Bounty Hunter tournaments, the bounty format here is the best of any online site I've played on. I find them great fun and very beatable, I've been fortunate enough to make a healthy profit playing the lower buy-in Bounty Hunters during daytime hours.
Absolutely no argument TK. You have answered the original question and thread title with chapter and verse. That the majority of peeps do love the BH and, perhaps to a lesser extent, the RB is evident from the posts above.
Maybe the question that should have been asked was Please, would it be possible to include a couple of £20G and DS in the Fri/Sat/Sun evening menu; and have them 1/2 an hour or so apart from one another? They currently start £20G and DS at the same time and poor old beggars like me find it problem enough playing one table, never mind two! The 1/2 hour gap would give me plenty of time to get booted out of one and registered in the other.

Could not agree more, Sir. Had the Thread been so titled, or the question so posed, I would deffo have made sure the Suits were snap-sent the Thread. Would have been so quick & easy! The question was not "more regular NLH Tourneys please" it was "why so many BH's?" - a VERY diffferent question!
Methinks, too, by the wording of your Post, you are a bit of a psychology student. It's amazing what walls cooey-wooey can demoloish.
It reminds me of the Threads we see so often - "sort it out Sky". And they really think someone will listen......
TK, you and me are "aged in the wood" and know that confrontation achieves nothing. (Not that I think Hunterlad meant to be confrontational, more likely that he let his frustration show).
I can well understand how you feel when you see "sort it out Sky. One of my favourites is "I speak my mind"! I have no problem with that, always assuming they have opened said "mind" first.
