edited November 2011 in Poker Chat
they say that u should play %5 of ya bankroll whatever u play so cash table nl4 2p/4p max buy in is £4 so u should have £80 in your bankroll is that right and if u play a mtt say a £1.10 u should have a round £20 in your bankroll my question is if i make a deposit of £10 which i havent got the bankroll to play any of these and they are the lowest buy ins what would u advice me to play im thinking of playing the £1.10 tourneys as they are great fun and try n build my roll up what would u advice me to do thoughts please thanks

Probably be best to grind the DYMs/low stakes SnGs.

If you can afford to put in like 30/40 quid then that would be better for a roll to play the 1.10/2.20 tournies

It really depends on what your situation is.  If you can aford to deposit say 10 quid a week then its ok to do that and play the 1.10s but if you can only afford 10 a month then you should look at smaller games to build up from as only 10BIs for tournies is a bit low.

But yh as long as you are playing within your limits and you can afford to lose whatever you put in then its fine.

    good luck

    Pretty much what Scotty said...

If you are a losing player and just play for the fun then you may as well play at the lowest levels (i.e 30p DYM). If you are a winning player at the games you are playing then your roll should hopefully start to increase, so its not a matter of what you deposit, its more a case of when should I move up a level.

Poker gets a bad reputation from losing players playing above what they can afford. This is a BIG NO NO! There are more losing players than winning players, just keep to a level that suits you and enjoy the game.

    Good luck
