20nl Regs weekly?

edited November 2011 in Poker Chat
Hey, i've just moved up to £20nl (10p/20p blinds) and would just like some winning regs to let me know how much they make weekly on average. I play about 4 hours a day 5 days a week.

How many tables are you playing at the same time, Stu? A lot of improving your hourly rate is linked to how many tables. If you're winning, then generally speaking you'd rather be winning on two tables rather than one, etc.

     Curiosity killed the cat!

depends how many tables u play, but with those hours it cud be a a substantial amount....

It's also alot about what days/times you play @ that level.....

I'd say the win rate playing 20nl after 9pm could/should be more than double what it is through the afternoon.

    edit * - also depends how gud u r ! ;)

I play through the day but there is quite a few regs and its not exactly easy, might stars playing 9pm-onwards. 4 tables over two separate 2 hour sessions.
  • edited November 2011
Do you tend to play after 9pm Dohhhh?

  • edited November 2011
he aint awake then, probably starts after i go to bed and is still playing when i get up!  shame he cant find time to answer pms!!!

I tend to lose less after 9pm yea.

I hope u are playing tomorrow at said time Trebor because 1 of my monthly goals was to win a hand against you and I'm running out of time !!!  :(

To be fair Dohhh I can think of at least 1 hand you should have won, perhaps I can be your nemesis, go on please let me be. I've always thought it would be cool to be a nemesis. I could change my name to 68Nemesis.

Not sure why your getting a load of stupid answers Stu.

I would say a good average, with variance included if you made 1 buyin over 4 tables every 2 hours your on the right track. There will be sessions where you make 2 - 3 buyins, but you will also get sessions when you lose a few.

I play 2 - 3 hour sessions on 6 tables @40nl and I expect to cash out between 1 - 2 buyin profit a session, doesn't always go to plan, but then again you get sessions like I had last night where I made 3 buyins.

You must have an idea how it went for you @ 10nl, so after a month look how you have done @20nl, and work out if its worth making the step up.

Playing 2/5 pot limit Omaha wont help your weekly amount.

Thanks for the response, i was making about 1.5 bi's every 2 hour at 10nl but just been breaking even at 20nl, dont think its worth my time to step down just yet though as it is only over the last week and lost in some horrendous spots (AA vs JJ for 210bbs) (AA vs AK for 190bbs) and (KK vs 9h9x on a 2h 3h 6c Ah board allin on turn 500BB pot, heart on river sigh :'( )

Start posting in the poker clinic they should be able to help you out. Most of those hands are not 'coolers'

I think he mean's he got all the money in good and got sucked out on. (well i hope that is what he mean's as im folding AK to an 4bet against 90% of players for 100bb, let alone 200bb :-).
  • edited November 2011
Wasn't sure... AK is the nuts at 10nl and below...

    Winning player 'might' make 5 bb/100 = (0.20*5) £1.00/100 Hands

Very rough guide is 85 hands per hour per table = (1.00*0.85) = £0.85 Per Table Per Hour

    So, if you played 4 tables = (0.85*4) £3.40

For 4 hours per day = (3.40*4) £13.60 Profit Per Day

    For 5 days a week = (13.60*5) £68.00 Projected Profit Per Week

Ofc this is all based on a 5bb/100 winrate, so depends if you are any good at poker or not. As people have mentioned, chaning such factors as the time of day you play can affect your winrate dramatically, and especially at the lower stake winrates of over double this aren't unheard of.
