Watching live poker on telly and you see people looking at cards just bending up the corners, is there any instance that you know of where you could get accused of marking the cards, ie recognising the bent cards ! or am I being too cynical !
Hi all. Enjoying the show. My one question for Tikay is where do you buy your jumpers? I only ask as my ex has said she is getting me a jumper for christmas and I need to tell her the shops to avoid.
Good evening Tony and James, Looking forward to another good show tonight. Ask Tikay 1. I know it's often joked that you have this image of being super -tight with your opening range consisting of AA and KK which is clearly nonsense lol... obviously the better players will not pay this as much heed as others but do you ever use this image take advantage of people who believe you only play absolute premium hands? 2. When you get quite a commanding lead in the late stages of a tourney, say there's 20 players left, blinds at 200/400, you have 20,000 and the other 5 players all have around 6000 chips, how do you change your game if at all? Do you start getting alot more aggressive? Do you stick to pretty strong hands to avoid doubling people up needlessly? Thoughts please Tony Posted by Lambert180

Lol my apologies, I've just went and read it. To be fair, usually on the live show threads I just scroll down to see whose on the show and what the topics for discussion are

TK thanks for your kind comments but I feel I need to correct your comments. It was the Royal Navy not merchant navy and it was actually a shore based draft. But its good to be back as I had to spend 6 months not playing poker. Posted by tempusfuge
hi james and tikay i have a question for tikay well its for new customers and people who play for fun they say u shouldnt play on a cash table with any less of 5 per cent of your nuy in so 4nl u should have £80 right but for a new person who has just made a deposit of say £20 what would be tikays advice on what to play as u havent got the bankroll to play any cash tables because at 4 nl with £20 u are using 20 per cent of your bankroll i had a really good week may i say i made a deposit of £20 and turned it into a monkey within a week by playing small mtts so it can be done u can win big by putting a small stake of your bankroll thanks guys have a great show
please can you show this, i think i made a mess of this,i think i made the minimum as i am pretty sure he was quite strong, but would like to see what he had.
i a wondering how i should/could have played this to make the maximum

Just seen the AA vs. A10 hand - I'm wondering why do people call all in's when people limp/shove at these stages of the tournament. I've only seen good players doing this with AA or KK...
Evening guys, im new to the forum, and just finished a highly enjoyable and creditable 2nd in the 15k BH. I had a few lucky moments along the way and have been 'playing' at it on Sky for a number of years. Just saying hello cos the community is excellent on here :-) shevyres Posted by shevyres
HI james can you ask tikay a poker question please What is a vibrating poker for? thanks dai Posted by DAIBOOT
It's used in the process of pouring concrete, you insert the end into the concrete, poke it around a bit, & it removes all the air pockets & bubbles by mechanical vibration.
Whats best wooden sleepers or concrete ones ! there you go trains and concrete in one question ! PUCPOUND Posted by PUCPOUND
GREAT question.
Wooden sleepers are much the better in SOME ways, in that they have more "give" & flexibility in them, so you get a better ride. Wooden sleepers, 40ft lengths of jointed track, slam-door rolling stock, hauled by a steam loco, it does not get better than that, clickity clack clickity clack.
But there are downsides, too. They need replacing every 5 years or so, & that causes disruption, & cost. Concrete sleepers, if properly masde (precast, obv) last, pretty much, forever, so these days it is all concrete sleepers, & CWT.
CWT? "Continuous welded track". An excuse to link to one of my favourite websites.....

lol Thank you for showing my cash game prowess guys. Some days you are the pigeon, some days you are the statue.

What better way to spend the wekend than perusing that?
Today we shall mostly be using "opprobrium".
Saturday will be "imbroglio", & Sunday, "gout".
EVERYONE should try & learn, & use, a new word, every day of their life. It can only improve our lives.
The poor & unoriginal use of language appals me. How many times have you heard poker players say "sick"? I mean, really, is that the best we can do?
