Got a quick-fire 2 games in before DTD starts plus in Monday Survivor and managed to run well in both for 2 cashes, so far so good at £3.30 but sample size is obvz awful lol.

The Total Played will refer to the level I'm playing right now but if I do happen to run badly then I'll go back to the £2.25 one, hopefully that never occurs.

Had a feeling it was going too well and knew it had to change pretty soon else the universe start collapsing in on itself, anyway 7 games going 5-2 against rather halts my progress.

1st was quite funny shove A5 w/5bbs wen short stack get called by big stack but amazingly mid stack auto calls pre aswell half of his stack wen no need, still he folded to shove on flop and I lost to KK. 2nd yet another OP AA this time v unpaired undercards this time 46s so sick. 3rd a 6bb shove at 100/200 w/J2 gets awful call from K10o safe stack. 4th a crazy game where I was safe 2nd at one stage but got ground down ending in 93 v AK could have ben worse when he called. Final 5bb shove at 150/300 w/J7 big stack makes pretty dour A7 call, at least give me live cards, sigh.....

Still very much alive but also noticing a slight difference now rake has changed, for example winning 2 and losing 1 at £2.25 yields 55.6% of a BI, whereas doing the same at £3.30 yields 63.6% of a BI, not massive but long term it would make a big difference. Just need a splash of run good now and I can make use of it.

What goes up must clearly come down, 6 played 5-1 against me .

1st one on clinic not sure, might have murdered it. 2nd a nice one, AA at 75/150 2000 stack just when you want 'em, raise to 350 get shove on, 99 gets 4 flush . 3rd where i realise I'm in for a tough sesh, in BB at 200/400 w/1340 and JJ, get shoved on K7 hits K, made worse by fact I was down to 140 at one point and got 3 double ups. 4th a crazy game that got to 400/800, one of those where you see the shorty doubles up about 23 million times but when you need the luck you don't get it 89 v K2. Final 10bb shove at 75/150 pretty big at that stage so only big hand can call yep KJ and safe stack 2k chips and hit J, golly.

Not too worried about that sesh as if I keep getting it in ahead I'll be good longterm, just need a another 5 in a row tonight lol.

More lovely variance but in a 9 game session I was just about able to neutralise it with 5-4 to me, break even feels good right now trust me. 

1st one identical to an earlier beat, A10 again 75/150 again 10bb again called by KJ and again lose sigh. Next a sickener QQ raise limper pre, J high board bet big called shove K turn he calls turns over A5 hearts for FD and pair on flop hits flush, really need those to go for me. Next 6bb at 300/600 shove 83 in SB, BB needs a monster to call as he's safe on same as me if he folds but he calls w/A9. Final a goody 5 bbs at 150/300 with 1 micro stack in BB and similar stack to me in SB I shove KQ SB finds AQ BB has J2 I bust.

Again just one of these going my way adds a massive £6 so 6-3 tonight for example would be a great sesh but that's the margins every time.

Going good Dude. It really can be a swingy beast can't it... I think that was the thing I couldnt deal with, it was fine when the swings were up, but when they were down just due to variance, it did occasionally make me start playing differently which made the downs bigger...

I know you got great discipline though so keep it up!

to start love this thread, I am in the same situation played cash love it but find it a grind love mtt's but like already said massive swings,  wins followed buy month two month missing the good cash payouts.  

my point is i started playing these DYM'S at the 5.50 level just for the game i was always against them before.

ANYWAAAAY i turned a 100 quid into £150 single tabling over the course of a week and since saturday i have lost 7 in a row.......... SEVEN. Abit of a knock to say the least took me a real hard graft to make the £50 and its taken couple of flips and couple bad beats and all of a sudden waste of a week, so now im back where i started wondering if these things are even worth playing.

So keep posting would like to see how you do

I really have to agree with something LOL_RAISE said about these on the clinic in terms of high variance it's so true, you can be going along swimmingly (5 wins a row for example on Tuesday, starting to think that was a dream lol) then boom it all goes Pete Tong. One of the main things I've found is how you start is paramount, if the first two are wins you instantly know the next 4 can end 2-2 (which mentally seems an easy goal to achieve) and you're ahead but losing the first two puts you straight on the back-foot NEEDING to win the next two.

Overall though the challenge has defintely changed somewhat from merely not going broke to now hoping to finish as high as possible, anything around £80-£90 would be pretty decent plus the £15 C4P I'm going for it should get me to 3 figures.

The only satisfaction is, when your getting it in good – like the majority of the time !!

Don't worry I'm well aware of this but I'm following JC's BRM strictly so once I return to £66.00 (20 BI's at £3.30) I'll go back to to the £2.25's and grind back up to £72.60 (22 BI's at £3.30) where I'll have my two shots again and see if I can break through, I'm still live in this go tbf and at the risk of boring people half to death just 2 of these going my way and I'm on £86.65 (£74.65 + £12) and eveything's rosy in the garden. 

The thing that appeals to me about this is it's only £50 and I know at the start that's how much I can lose, plowing big sums in to play more volume wouldn't really feel great especially if it went wrong.

On the multitabling this is probably is the best approach but being so close to the tipping point I need to keep a handle on any developments which can get a bit crazy playing 4-6 but obvz if I get the BR that will be a step I take if only for the added C4P it would yield.

I have to agree multi tabling is the only way for these. i spoke to a player who is up near the top on the S n G leader board he plays 10 at a time and up too 200 a day i couldnt believe it he didnt go into detail with his roi but he must be doing ok to keep playing.  £1000 a day just in playing money would love to know what he gets back. Oh and 1 more player and i break my seven game loosing streak  come on please

i think that is the key the simple nature of the games not so simple that i dont loose 8 in a row though out of the 8 i think 5 i have had the best hand pre flop  GRRRRRRRRRRR?!!!?

A slightly better session than recent ones, 8 games goin 5-3 to me.

1st loss is in clinic pretty sure it's standard. 2nd 6bb shove w/K5 at 100/200 called by big stack (18bbs) w/AQ, I snap fold there but no way you making a random fold lol. 3rd yet another real sickener, K10 5bb at 200/400, I'm level with another stack but don't want blinds passing and getting super short and I still present a threat to other stacks, sadly the guy comfortable with 6bb didn't see it that way and snapped w/A2, sigh. 

Glad to have made some sort of profit and tbh if I have this same session everyday till Jan I'll take it but as always in life you always want more .

This is the nature of the beast sometimes in DYMs. Sometimes you will literally play perfect DYM poker and still go through periods of losing game after game. I dunno who decided they were low varianc, they are once you play ALOT but shortterm they are swongy.

Yeah run good is soooo warm and fuzzy it's like waking up and reasling it's snowing on Christmas day , anyway 9 games going 8-1 to me makes up for the the previous few days and some !

1st and only exit also another bad beat, QQ 10bb shove at 75/150 after limp, safe medium stack in BB snaps with A8 and hits, good for him . 

Well apart from that it's looking very bright all of a sudden as I once again reach my highest peak since starting .

Almost 63% cash rate is pretty insane and will obvz even out over time but for now I'll settle for it lol

Defo think Ranny is right on the old variance, very tough sesh tonight, 11 games going 7-4 against me.

1st exit 6bb shove w/Q5 in SB vs safe stack w/12bb calls w/A5, at least let me be live...., 2nd one where the big stack gets to overlod status and other 3 stacks are jst clinging on, I was 2nd shortest so shoved over limp w/AQ called obvz and J8 wins, those suck so bad cant tell ya. 3rd JJ shortest stack at 100/200 w/6bbs guy open shoves I auto call he has AQ and wins flip all be it one where I'm 57% fave. 4th yet again KJ is my nemesis as a guy open limps w/16bbs and snaps my exact same stack shove, AQ loses, sigh. 5th a weird one 1st level, MR followed by flat I have QQ in SB and shove I lose but won't reveal hand as it's in clinic. 6th JJ but won't reveal result as yet again in clinic. 7th just a sec ago short stack 4 handed shove J10 UTG 7bb at 75/150 snap called by other shorty w/same stack and A9 I fold but now way yow maken dem do same lol. 

Back down again but mid £80's is still decent, was fairly confident I wouldn't get two good sesh's in a row, not that easy. Also cash percentage nicely knocked down, good stuff.

Another mind-blowingly frustrating session, one thing I am noticing though is the way I tlt is simply playing more games, if I win say 5 in a row at the start I pack up shop but when the brown stuff hits the fan I have a real plow, 15 going 8-7 to me for small loss.

1st a pretty crazy one 88 at 75/150 w/1350 shove over big stack station wen joint shorty, SB flats so does limper they both have AA I miss lol. 2nd once again JJ v AQ this time BvB I open shove he snaps and hits, really gotta win one of dem soon. 3rd standard steal K2 5bbs at 200/400 run into 10's. 4th once again poor/right call prevails J7 shove BvB safe stack A5o snaps, sigh. 5th UTG and short stack KJ auto shove, safe stack once again makes poor/right call w/AJ and yet again sigh. 6th 10's w/5bbs at 100/200 shove over MR micro stack shoves also w/AK MRer has AQ and kills us both lol. 7th another steal gone wrong Q8 w/4bbs at 150/300 walk into AK could be worse.

Pretty much break even so no worries, good that volume has increased just need a drop of run good now and it'll be all rosy again.

Win rate at about 60% will make you only a small profit in these, so I would have to agree that to make money at these at that win rate, you would have to multitable.

Still going well though mate, keep it going.  What BR are you trying for to move up to the next level?
