    Shame its for cash game players only. I'm exclusively a tournament player so I doubt I'll be able to participate. Lets hope I get a different gift from the Sky Santa(wink wink, nudge nudge).lol.

    Promotion for cash players .  SHOCK !  can't help but feel sky is turning into a cash site.   The dym's and very FEW other sit n go's are dying and dying.   Regged for 4 yesterday, took over 2 hours for one to start.  Ok , the main events do great, but that aside very few tournies to offer aswell. It's all about cash cash cash,  shame !

    Yeah you're right 1267.... except for the BH hunter tournaments that people are constantly saying there is too many of, and the Velocitys, and TOTs, and Thews @ 10 and all the deepstacks.

    I dunno what you were playing or what time it was but most DYMs you can reg and it'll have kicked off within 60 seconds.

    I would point out, that once you've played your 1 hand each day for 5 days... you then get entered into an MTT, so for the £1 as people mentioned above, is that not worth it for a good MTTer? Satelliting into a tourney with a 3k prizepool (in prizes mostly) for £1

    12.30 i regged.  started at like 2.45pm  (and that was just one of the 4).  #DYM's are dying.

    And yes i did say there was other tournies ..   hardly loadz.

    DYMs are dying??!!  Have a look on the forum, there's about a million people going on about how theyve decided to give DYMs a go and they're doing a diary. I could name at least 10 off the top of my head that are doing it.

    n OK, We could play 5 hands for £1 n get in the freeroll, how about a freeroll where people have to play 5 sit n go's,  They could do that for £1 , plus it would be nice to promote STT's for a change.

    Where are the SnGs with 20p buy-ins?

    I do see what you mean but for this promotion you're gonna get 2 types of people. The ones who play that level (or higher) most days anyway so they aren't even going out of their way to get in, and the ones who will play a 20NL game each day JUST to get in.

    If you made it SnGs you will still get, the people who do that anyway, and the people who do it JUST to get in. I.E. I doubt it's gonna improve the traffic, certainly not at £22+ games

    I give the DYMs a rest for a bit and suddenly there's less action?  Not exactly an ego boost for me.  Marv

    I wouldn't worry 1267, it's all cyclical, I'm sure they will boost up again.  Probably when I grind them again which'll probably be this month.

    Regarding the promotion, it's one raked hand a day.  I really don't see a problem.

    Great prizes on the promotion, will defo have a crack at this.  One thing though Santa, WHERE'S MY HOVERBOARD AND LIGHTSABER?!?!?!?!?

    Obviously its not going to increase traffic at 22+. straight away, but would be nice to see SIT N GO's being promoted.  Lets be honest, arguably the best poker show on tv Late night poker is afterall a sit n go format !

    Everything sky seems to do lately is cash cash cash.    Santas grotto offer, play 5 days of CASH.
    Watch saturday nights masterCASH show.   Watch your CASH hands live, 1pm - 3pm.    James and Orfords ...... wait for it ...   CASH crusade.

    As my original post said,  just saying that Sit n go don't seem to get much,  how about a promotion once in a while ?    Seems like alot of Sit n go players  will go/ already have gone elsewhere to play,  and Sky is becoming a CASH site,  with the odd tourne.

    I agree 1267. Cash cash cash, its not as tho theres 2 tournament shows and only 1 cash show on a week is there now? First time sky do smth for cash ppl and some ppl go all uppity, do u people live with ur head in the sand?

    For the benefit of us who never play cash, exactly what counts as a raked hand? If you fold your blind pre-flop to a raise does that count as a raked hand?

    It's about time cash started getting more coverage!! Every single play the presenter night for the past 18 months has been tournaments &/or sit n gos. I can think of loads MTT based leagues run by presenters (lasting a month each), and only 1 cash competition, which was based on Omaha, not NLHE. There's the MTT jackpot & UKOPS. There's 2 tourny shows as opposed to 1 cash, and for a long time, they were all tournament shows.  ------------------- The cash tables are where the best players play and make their money/living. If you wanna improve as a poker player, then improving at cash is the way to do it. TK always says 865 aim to entertain &  educate . Watching people play <20 big blind stacks while the presenters have a laugh can be entertaining but it doesn't teach us much. Watch 1 hour of the Saturday night shows with Sim/Redmond and you'll learn more than watching a whole Thursday night BH show.
