Lots of new bells & whistles.......

Good afternoon.

A whole raft of changes, improvements, enhancements, new stuff, de-bugs, etc, are in progress at Sky Poker, more than ever before. Some of them are just minor, easy, tweaks, others are more fundamental.

Some are there already, (some visible, some "hidden"), others will be unveiled in the coming weeks, with a whole bunch more scheduled early in 2012.

When new stuff is implemented, there is quite a large amount of designing, coding, testing, then, eventually, the actual upgrade takes place, for which a scheduled outage takes place, such as we had last night.

However, a lot of the new stuff is NOT immediately available, or visible. For some, a "soft-launch" takes place, for others, the "go button" is still to be pressed. In the lstter case, for example, the new, or changed stuff, is all ready to run, but temporarily hidden from view, so players cannot yet see it, or use it, but it is there.

I'm going to start some "Changes" threads right away, in which SOME of these changes will be explained.

Feedback on the "Changes" Threads would be most welcome. 

Most of the new stuff was explained, or shown, to some of those at SPT Newcastle last Saturday, & from that, valuable feedback was received, so the more feedback - constructive, even if not favourable - the better.

The changes are right across the Site - many are already visible in the Lobby - so bear with me whilst I work through them, please.

I doubt there is anything that players have asked for (anything reasonable, or within our compass) that is not scheduled for implementation within the very near future. Exciting times.

I have Posted 4 or 5 of the changes, & I'm not half-complete yet.

I need to go & see a man about a dog, but will continue Posting the changes either later today, or tomorrow morning.

About the deep tables, can we have it so that if someone drops below say 40BBs they have to either top up or leave?
I'm still seeing lots of shortstacks after they've lost some cash

In truth, I doubt that is feasible, or advisable.

After the fuss (quite rightly) made at Newcastle about H4H at the cash bubbles is this finally going to be implemented on the site with this set of changes. Most natably in the big (ME) tourneys when playing in the top 10 when the steps are quite important to some people and at the main cash bubble which can be a profitable evening or a loss and waste of 3 hrs.

Thanks for posting all the changes up on the forum. I've only been playing on SkyPoker for less than a week and its good to see so many positive changes are being made so quickly after ive joined and more are planned for in the next month or so. It appears you get one or two moaners, but like anything in life, you cant please everyone. Keep the information coming, as certainly impresses me and encourages me to play on SkyPoker and as a newbie first impressions are crucial.
