CHANGES - Hand for Hand in Tourneys.

edited December 2011 in Poker Chat

A long overdue one this, but it's now up & running. Belowis, pretty much, Adam's Internal e-Mail about this.....

"This is being phased into all semi-finals, 8pm main events and tournaments over £1000 Gtd

A message is sent to all active tables when a tournament is entering and exiting hand for hand play. Whilst this is configurable and subject to change, initial hand for hand rules will be as follows:

Satellites

We will enter hand for hand play when 2 places from the satellite seat bubble

E.G. Satellite tournament with 101 runners, 1 in 5 win a seat to the next leg.

1st – 20th get the seat21st gets left over cash Tournament enters hand for hand play when 22 players remain

Tournament exits hand for hand when 20 players remain (it will then autosettle as all remaining players have won their seat)

Regular tournaments/ Main events (not satellites)

We will enter hand for hand play when 2 places from the cash bubble

We will exit hand for hand play when the bubble is burst and all remaining players are now in the money

Final Table  For all televised tournaments and selected main events, we will also enter hand for hand play when 7 players remain.

We will exit hand for hand play once the final table is reached....."

Thanks...IMO this is the biggest of the recent 'upgrades' that Sky have implemented...can you make a big thing about this on the shows in the coming weeks.  Was on the bubble of a sat last night and one player didn't realise even after about 50 hands of H4H that we were indeed in that period adn kept timing down and was quite tilting!

    Update from Adam, just in.....

"....Hand for Hand is now rolled out pretty much across the board All tournaments with a guarantee of £500 plus are done.

All semi-finals (8pm Main, SPT, UKOPS etc) are done.

Smaller guarantee tournies and micro sats will be reviewed and it may be extended to these too in the future......"

Something you might want to look into not everyone gets the message as they are in mini or chat off maybe a bit on the middle of the screen. Just playing through a h4h now and several people are still allowing the clock to run out

Yeah was a long bubble last night but some people had not recognised it was h4h and stil allowing the clock to run out. Maybe an email to all players outlining some of these changes that have come in over the last couple of weeks.

possibly tweak it down to the actual bubble but thats soemthing to be looked at after it has settled in.

Considering there are many posts saying that 'ALL TOURNAMENTS with a GTD of £500 or more are now done' then I would guess that includes all the MINI ones too. Read all the posts next time.lol

I had read all the posts thanks and was asking for some clarification, thats all.

The starting stack has been increased in the primo but not the mini primo, and this was not known untill I had asked the question on that thread!

I took down the 1k Mini Double Stack last night (Blatent Brag) and so had my 1st experience with the Hand 4 Hand on the final table bubble.

It worked well and I liked it. I think it will be much better once everyone realises it has been implemented, as there were a couple of players still running down the timer. But all in good time.

    Well Done on this update.
