    Yes, they can be annoying. I've played 80 this week, and won around 51/52% of them, yet down £20.

    I will raise to 15 and it hurt even more as it was part of a real bad run of about 3 wins to 29 loses.About 10 or so of the 15 were on the bubble aces cracked aipf 4 times twice by ak(4 flush and trips).My on fault really for messing about trying to play 500 micro dym's in a month.

    Since reading JC's guide about 3 weeks ago, iv played around 70 DYM's mixing between £2.25 and £3.30 and have just under a 70% win rate, making around £30 profit.  very slow going, but i'm making a profit all the same. losing 4 in a row is my worst so far

    Cheers DOHHHHHHH, I go through phases where I can't even look at a DYM, but thanks to them I've only had to deposit £35 since I started playing on Sky (over 5 years ago).

    2000 games and biggest loosing streak is 8 in a row FUDGIN HELL.  ive dropped down a level to the £3.30 just to not destroy my bankroll.  Was thinking about posting all my exit hands on this thread see what people think of the way i play the hands, also im going to pick myself up a notepad and record every game i play my profit/loss and exit hands so i can always look back at them.  If im going to do this DYM thing im gonna do it right haha

    Once again i push with kk from the D BB calls and he has AA surprise surprise.   This kinda thing is how i went 11 in a row and i know it happens but it seems to happen a awful lot what you guys think

    From my experience the swings in dyms can be insane.

    Below is my graph for dyms today, losing 9 out of my first 10 games. Managed to get my head back above water by the end though.

    wow 10 in a row in a day done a good job getting into the green for the day.  they are a complete grind these things and to be honest the only reason im playing is for the reasons i put in my first post not to say i dont enjoy them but i just prefer a good old fashioned 10 seat sng wer the top 3 get paid not very popular on here though.

    on a different note what are you using to record all of your results that way?

    Yes sort of. Not really a living. Still live at home with parents at the min, so it gets me by while im out of work.

    I'm moving out this summer, so need a job before then (that or win a few primos :P)

    I cant offer any advice but can offer the next best thing.  Knowledge of the fact that its not only you, it happens to most.

    After suffering the same form myself on here I came to the conclusion that its obviously not me as I recently won a £530 seat into the last UKOPS after a 1st in a satellite.  Im obviously a class player so after hard thought I realised it must be the 6 handed tables and luckboxes on SKY.

    I then went over to Pokerstars playing the 50/50 SnGs on there. I won the smallest buy in easily and thought im obviously too good for these so moved up to the $30 ones.  I played two side by side, one NLH one PLO. I won both of these.  I carried on winning til my initial $5 bankroll was over $200, I was obviously gonna be a millionaire in no time as id found my game.

    Two weeks on I bust my bankroll on there blaming everyone and everything.

    Im now back where the heart is (SKY) and still having the ups and downs but now accepting that im currently no more than a recreational player and I wont play with anymore than I can afford to lose.

    Once I build a bankroll through my play I will experiment around and see how I go.

    Like you I just cant get into cash and its probably because of that that I tilt easily and bust out.  Ive seen a few threads of people trying to 'get there' with SnGs.  Ive decided that I will start with I SnG daily.  If I win I will use the profit for low stakes MTTs.  If I lose then ill leave it until the following day (unless soaps are on all night).

    Either way I hope you find some luck and above all some enjoyment in the game.

    i know it happens to everyone but people beat these games and make good money i just dont understand how when i seem to loose so often when im so far ahead. if i could be bothered i would go back and look at all my exit hands, but even if it shows im abnormally unlucky what will it change.  Another thing how do pocket 9s 10s Js Qs Ks always end up against the next pair up?  i cant even remember the number of times i have pushed from the D with one of these and the SB or BB has the next pair up. 

    i only played a couple tonight annoyed me after 2 games i just shut down and watched the footy start again tomoz fresh faced :) maybe everything will be better

    The K5 has about 30% here so not that unlikely really.

    My bit of advice is search Card Player calculator or similar in Google and put a few of your all in hands in and see if they really are that bad as most probably won't be.

    Understand what variance is.........wene

    It doesn't mean if you play 10 DYM and get your chips in as 80% fav each time that your going to win 8/10

    You may lose all 10

    Variance is a horrible thing in the short term................


    eg. if you flip a coin it's 50/50 to land heads or tails but you may flip 10 heads in a row..............but then flop 22 tails in a row

    If you flip that coin 100,000 times then you will see a 50/50 ratio

    Thanks Dude and Rancid.  I know you are right about the variance thing i was just very frustrated yesterday i shut down after just 2 or 3 games.  I KNOW variance doesn't work over 3 games haha just grrrrrr. im of work next week so im just gonna stay relaxed and try and grind it out for the week.

    I HATE THIS GAME (but i just cant stay away)

    Not to sure what your BR is but I would stick to one level and really try and prove you can beat it before changing up to higher ones.

    i have been playing 5.50 ones but ive been dropping down to practice multi tabling.  

    had a dabble at some cash games the other day as well maybe somthing i could get into if i can find a lil spare time some very loose players at the NLH8 level people calling with second pairs etc 

    What games do you play fo your grind?

    Just about got enough for £5.50 right now (24 BI's) but if I go below 20 BI's i drop back down to £3.30.

    Also cash is defo a good idea and plenty to be made at NL8.
