    This Thursday night it's our Christmas show! And what better way to get into the festive spirit then sharing a mince pie and a few Christmas carols with Santa's Little Hinderers:

    Richard Orford and Carlo Citrone!

    Yes, it's a dubious thanks to Phil12UK for providing this disturbing image of Carlo and myself as elves. But if you think that's bad, wait until you see what we're wearing in real life on the Xmas show!

    Loyal viewers will remember last year Sky Claire dressed up me and Grumpy Christmas in this seasonal dire attire...


    And this year, she's really pulling out all the stops. And yes, this time it's Carlo turn to get his Chrimbo gladrags on (as well as me obv FML).

    I'm sure Sam Razavi and Jamie Burland will be eagerly watching to see if Carlo is prepared to wear something ridiculous, with one eye on their prop bet which is due to run out in a few days!

    I've got a really bad feeling I'm going to be in a full-on reindeer suit. Any predictions? And any suggestions as to what Carlo could be with a Xmas theme?

    Joining us for our festive tomfoolery, but thankfully not in a comedy outfit, is regular Sky Poker pundit and UK poker pro Nik Persaud.



    Nik writes features for poker magazines and is widely used at poker bootcamps up and down the country as a keynote speaker. He is also the 2010 World Heads Up Champion and a great guest whenever he's on the show.

    We're covering the Sky Roller and the Sky Sorts Bounty Hunter and we'll be simulcasting on Sky Sports 4 from 10pm. Hang on, does that mean I'll be dressed like a Christmas pudding on Sky Sports? Jeez...

    So, let's get the ball rolling with lots of interaction from you guys.

    What's your site calling again? Only joking. My question is...do you think Omaha will ever get even close to the kinda media coverage Hold 'Em gets, will we ever start seeing it on tv? And do you like playing it much or you do you still to hold em?

    Ok, ok- I'm guessing he's an elf or a turkey. 

    To be honest, seeing Carlo dressed up like  a wally is the one thing that's going to get me through 4 hours of...being dressed up like a wally myself!

    He needs to wear shorts otherwise the costume that goes over the top will make him too hot.

    We had Carlo on loud speaker in the office and told him about the all- over tan.......... the joy of winding him up..... This could make my year!

    Just a few hours to go to see Carlo and I dressed up in comedy Chrimbo outfits at 8pm.

    I just spoke to Sky Claire and pointed out helpfully that at 10pm we're live on Sky Sports 4 and that perhaps, for reasons of integrity and decency, we might consider getting out of our outfits at that point and into something more serious.

    "No", said Claire. "I want you both in those costumes on Sky Sports as well."

    "Merry Christmas", I muttered miserably as I hung up.

    Deep joy.

    Apparently though, Carlo's is much, MUCH worse than mine. So that keeps me going.

    Christmas is a time for giving.

    But more importantly, in your cases, it's time for receiving as well.

    Yes, on tonight's show Carlo and I are giving away TEN seats to Santa's Grotto: our amazing freeroll which takes place tomorrow night (23rd) at 7.15pm.

    OK- due to competition regulations etc- we can't be giving away these seats in the Sky Sports section of the show- which means this is an opportunity for loyal Sky Poker players/viewers only!

    It also means that we'll be resolving the competition around 9.45pm just before The Rail and then the simulcast on Sky Sports 4 at 10pm.

    Here's what you'll need to do.

    Simply watch the show from 8!

    At the top of the show just after 8pm, we'll give you a Christmassy word or phrase to write down. Make a note of it and then look out at around 8.30pm, 9pm and 9.30pm for 3 more festive words.

    As soon as you've got all 4 words- email them immediately to skyopen@bskyb.com along with your name and your player alias.

    We'll announce the TEN winners at around 9.45pm, but it could be well worth your time if you land a massive state-of-the-art TV this Christmas!

    Good luck! And look out at 8pm for that first Xmas password!
