my worse xmas present was a man utd key ring, and me be a liverpool fan arggggggh.
in fairness it was a mistake as it was ment for wife from the kids (they put the wrong lable on), but my face was picture and the misses nearly wet herself with laughter
i have serious question for Carlo, how did that side bet go ???? and have you been told yet what your wearing yet, and rich, yoyo mentioned he forgot his own named event so my question for you rich WHEN are you going to enter your own event ?? the orfordable at 7.10pm on a friday and pokertrev runs a fun comp for it. but not once you have entered, so your excuse is ???
I totally agree with you Rich about students especially those wasting their time studying things like history. I mean, do you know anyone successful with a history degree? It's just not possible!
I don't think I had a bad christmas pressy this year Thank you to everyone who brought me one

u r are wrong, u need ~10:1 IF u stack 'villain' 100% of the time, but what happens if villain has KK and flop is A high, or monotone or 6-7-9, or the turn brings a danger card that kills ur action
Three men are sitting in a pub discussing how they think their wives are cheating on them. The first man said, "I found a toolbox under my bed last night, I think my wife is sleeping with a builder" The second man said: "That's nothing. I found a stethoscope under my bed last night, I think my wife is sleeping with a doctor2 To which the third man said: "You two don't have a problem. I found a jockey under my bed last night, I think my wife is sleeping with a horse
You were just talking about the Survivor series, and I have a question...
I think idea of this format is great and I would love to have a go as I've a pretty good DYM record. However, it's difficult for me to commit to playing every evening at 7.30pm for a whole week.
Is it possible to Sky+ the tournaments so I can play them at a more convenient time?
i would like to say kiwini4u also won the surviver series for a pound and do i get his prize into a main event, (he he). i would also like to say got close last week, managed final table and 6th but with my stack in small blind had to shove q/k suited unfortunatly walked into aces very first hand after break.
Just want to say that tonight is the first night i have sat and watched a show all the way through without playing a single hand of poker myself and its been a very educational and enjoyable show.
A nice wind down with a few cans of stella after stuffing myself with so much food xmas day and boxing day.
Hope you all have a great and profitable new year.

If poss could the guys on the show explain this one.
Im pretty new to the game but i thought that it was about 7/1 or 8/1 to flop a set ?
My niece gave all the family beautiful Xmas Cards! Inside each card she had put £5 lucky dip lottery tickets On closer inspection the lottery tickets were losing tickets from the 9th & 16th December. When this was pointed out my 80 year old mum said bless her it's the thought that counts To which my niece replied "thats right, as I watched the numbers drawn out I thought about what I would have bought you if they'd won"

10+20 blinds + 80 raise + 200 3bet & 1700 effective stack size behind, means we are calling 120 to win 2010 if we flop set/stack villain

i think that 15-1 is far to conservative.. correct odds are less thatn 8-1 but i round up to 10-1 for the reasons u explained.. plus you dont hav to stack villian 100% of the time.. jus work out roughly if the call can be justfied as +EV ... in this case i think it can,for example, standard of tourney, (people over play hands, so will get paid more often if we hit), the bet is 120 more, so my conservative estimate for a +EV call would be to make an extra 1200 by the end of the hand.. villan has 1700 ish and pot has been bloated to over 400.. that means jus 2 streets of betting will be needed to hit our target and thats not even stacking villan which i think is more than likely if you flop a set against villans average 3 bet range in these small buy-in tournies..
I was only able to watch from 10:45 last night so only caught the last 75 minutes but was a little disappointed about the hand selections shown.
Every single hand had a short stack going all in and being eliminated. After about 30 minutes of this it became easy to predict what would eventually happen once the hand first came up. The only question was would the chips go in pre-flop or later.
Surely some hands where the short stack doubled up or a clash between two bigger stacks could have been picked?
Right then, great first night of our Xmas UKOPS marathon.
And now for....

Hi Rich, Trev, and of course welcome home to the lovely MIchelle How about, Merry Xmas everybody - Slade Posted by acebarry10
I have to confess a penchant for that "Driving Home for Christmas" song - Chris Rea.
Looking forward to the show tonight - appropriately for the pantomime season it's a case of Beauty & The Beast with Orford & Orpe...however that may be a bit cruel...Michelle isn't that ugly.

I'm guessing she'll be prime minister one day!
My money is on Haysie to win UKOPS 1, and remember lifes a box of chocolates
so we do have />15:1 implied odds
