Pingu's Xmas/New Year Challenge
Currently somewhere on the second page of the STT rankings on the TSP league thing, with 1,425 points since signing up on my 18th birthday. My target is to get into the top 150 for October - December.
The top 150 MTT, STT and Cash players get invited to the League Stars freeroll - At the moment, 150th place in STT's has around 2,200 points. As there's still another week left before the end of the month, I expect that to secure a spot in the top 150 myself, I would need 2.5k - 2.6k points. This means I'd need to earn at least another 1,100 points in the last week of December. Not easy, but definitely possible.
As the same amount of league points are awarded for £1.15 DYM's as for £5.50 DYM's, I'll drop down to low and micro stakes DYM's for the remainder of the year, where I have a higher win % (62.68% @ £1.15 as opposed to 59.18% @ £5.50)
Assuming I only play @ £1.15, and I need 2,600 points to get into the top 150, this means I'll need to play approximately [(2600-1425)/7]/0.6268 = 268 DYM's, or around 38 a day, at £1.15 to qualify for the League Stars Freeroll. Of course, if there's no £1.15 games going on, I'll play micro stakes or go back up as far as £5.50. £2.25 PLO8 DYM's are also an option if they give League Points.
