Now i know there are many many books out there that will teach you. but what i want to know is as a reactrional player i now want to start to take poker a little more serious and make some money what book do i buy... bearing in mind i have not baught a book before and my play has been somewhat not clever but like i say its always been fun for me and now i want to start taking the game a lot more serious and earning some money and improving my game.... any help or advice would be greatly appreciated....

I've just got Elements of Poker by Tommy Angelo which had been recommended to me too but can't comment on that as I haven't started reading it yet.
I'd also comment that Killer Poker by Jonathan Vorhaus (sp) that JockBMW reviewed is an interested read from the point of view of the mindset behind playing winning poker but from the point of view of learning technique etc. is not going to give you much.
