£20,000 Bounty Hunter - Technical Problems

edited January 2012 in Poker Chat
Hi Everyone,

Firstly sincere apologies to everyone who was affected by the slowdown in the £20,000 Bounty Hunter which started at 8pm.

After we received reports of a slowdown to our customer care team, our technical team have been investigating the issue thoroughly and made numerous attempts to resolve it.

Unfortunately we have not been able to diagnose the fault or resolve the problem and at approximately 11pm, once it became clear that we could not resolve the issue and the tournament was unplayable we took the decision to manually settle based on chip stacks.

All players already knocked out retain any head prizes
All remaining players retain any head prizes
All remaining players retain their head value at that time
All remaining players receive a refund of their fees
All remaining players are paid a share of the cash prize pool based on chip stacks

Due to the nature of the issue, we were unfortunately not able to pause, send messages or even view this tournament, hence the lack of communication/action during the investigation.

We'll continue to investigate the cause of the problem tomorrow and aim to provide an update on here and through customer care in due course.

Once again sincere apologies from the Sky Poker team.
