poker points

edited January 2012 in Poker Chat
does nobody else find it maddening ,thatwe have to wait nine days into the new month,to be paid our poker points money.all other sites pay on the 1st of the month.sky do it this way because they want the millions they pay out on poker points to be sat in their bank earning interest ,for those 9 days.also the sky poker freeroles are not even free, the cost 50 or 100 points to enter.so it costs one pound fifty to enter.so no its not a free role...come on sky poker stop being greedy or you will never become a proper poker site

they get paid on the 5th working day of every month.. alway have.. always will.. if you dont like it you know what to do!!

+ it doesnt cost you anything for the freeroll.. the points used for free rolls are poker points. these are separate from cash for points!! imo it is good because it ensures that the freerolls are kept to players that have actually deposited and played on sky, and not randoms who just turn up all the time just to play for free.  you actually get 500 points for free just for registering so there is a few free games for everyone.. whats not to like??

Some of the Priority club members on here will pay more rake to sky poker in one week than I will pay in a year. I dont begrudge them a few extra perks.  Any promotion operates in the same way.  BA only allow silver members and above into the Lounges at airposts for example, to become silver you have to buy more flights same thing here

The sky Poker "Points for cash promotion" is one of the most generous out there.

So if you have to wait till the 5th working day to get, what is effectively, free money is that really much of a problem?

Actualy they are not,  You will accumulate points for every game you play,  however these will not be counted against the Cash for Points promotion unless you actually subscribe to the points for cash promotion.  They will however be counted against your league points by default so whilst Poker points are automatically league points they are not automatically Cash points.

I think BigFlop was fully awake when he posted

Sky do a lot of things differently to other poker sites, the most obvious one is that they run a dedicated TV channel for their members.  I dont know of any other Poker site that does that.  So they keep our money for a few extra days,  a small price to pay I think.

Yes they do Paperboy,  but (and I'm not being a sheep or trying to be funny ) as far as I am concerned they put that money to good use , in particual with regard to the, extremley expensive, TV channel that they produce.  I get a great deal of pleasure from that program, it has made me a better player and I have had the opportunity to present it live with TK and Anna Fowler,  I am being deadly serious that I am not bothered in the slightest that I dont get paid until the 5th working day of the month

I've already answer this one Paperboy,  Here's a copy of my response.  Yup I am perfectly happy with this arrangement.

company's normally treat their biggest customer the best, if u start paying over a grand in rake a month then you'll get the same benefits

Paperboy, I have tried to answer your questions honesty and to my best knowledge.  You and I obviously have different views and that is fine, I hope you enjoy your time here at Sky Poker, despite the issues you have with it.

Good Luck on the tables Paperboy

Become a High Roller - Problem Solved :)

Until then its 5 Business/Working Days every Month.

Think yourself lucky your not in Scotland with JockBMW - Monday and Tuesday were public holidays up there, so if I had my way, they wouldn't get paid till the 10th Hee Hee!

Myabe if you spent less time moaning on the forum about it, and more time learning about and playing poker, you could move through the levels,  become a priority member and get your cash for points on the 1st working day of the month.  Problem solved.

As soon as you have signed up for the C4P promo, they are essentially the same thing.

League points are way different tho.

so 5 WORKING DAYS to pay in does not work for you, so you want bank holidays to be included too, maybe us parents should charge the education department for in-service day for when we have to take an extra day off work or pay for babysitters ???

    Hi All,

I'm only a simple Grimsby Girl, but there are 12 months, we get paid 12 times, so Sky don't keep the money for any extra time, except for the first month they did it. Remember when the 1st of Jan arrived it was only 3 weeks since we got paid for Dec.

    Be Happy
