edited February 2013 in The Poker Clinic
Very similar spot to something I posted recently.

Title says it all really... just check behind or do we bet/fold?

i would defo chck back,if you value bet,and he plays back at you ,or shoves what do you do?
It appears he was on the flush draw, but could have easily have the str8,and hoping to induce a bet by checking,as you have led out all the way.Maybe lose some value against pair,or lesser 2pairs,or poss bluff.but hey keep it easy for yourself.

    Hope this helps

Value to be had there, me thinks. Bet/fold perhaps £5.

The missed flush draw is there for us to rep. Weaker two-pairs, even one-pairs could call. If he had a draw himself he's played it very passively. He's more likely to have a pair unless you think he plays his draws passively - Then checking would be fine although some of the flopped draws are now weaker value hands than our top two-pair anyway.

Value. b/f. Why would you check back? If you lose you lose. Maximize wins, minimize losses. He never has set, you crush all 2 pairs and the only Q or 7 that get there are a spade combo really. Bet big, looks super bluffy and looks to him like your range is polarized to Q or air - thus you get called by A8

Readless I think this is a marginal b/f, but this is so player dependent it is almost impossible to answer.
