because i'm just too puzzled with it myself.

yeah think I call this looks bluffy imo unless he has rivered a weird 2 pair or maybe 56 surely not I agree with rock573 think he has missed draw.

I played a similar hand the other night,4x raise with A Q,q high flop ,and called a shove on the river, the guy had 4,6.and rivered the str8,so in my personal expierence you cannot discount the str8.

this was  on the 10/20 tables.

but hey ive played the same kind of  cards myself

well i've seem my hand and was glad to fold as i would have lost as he held 56o so i think mega aggression on the flop and shove the turn would have been best

Try not to be results orientated. Why would you want to shove the turn and make him fold 56 when he'll miss the river ALOT more often than he will hit it. You want him to call on the turn.

I do go a bit bigger on the flop, I think turn is fine as played but would obv be a bit bigger if you go bigger on the flop.

TBH the reason i thought a shove and extra aggression on the flop would have been better is 9 times out of 10 i would have expected him to hold a KQ or QJ if not a flush draw and all i'm thinking is tournements could be where all the calling stations have gone while them nl 4p tables consist of nits and passive players who hardly ever call after preflop.

he already called a 3x min raise preflop with such a poor hand so the gut shot is likely good enough for him to call a bigger bet that i did, then on the turn i shove and he probably thinks himself he might aswell call it as he has put lots in already.
