a question for father v

edited March 2013 in Betting Chat
Hi Badboy,

The reason I did it in January is that it was returning from a year off to try and win the same race at Fontwell and it looked a race it could win. It ran superbly until turning for home when it went up and down on spot. I thought it needed the run and would do better next time. It didnt.

I have just looked and the reason was it went up to a rating of 83 after that win,  13 more than it had been and has been at that for its last three runs. It has won twice  once at Fontwell and once at Plumpton which was over tomorrows trip. It should handle heavy or soft ground.

Last time out it had to be rousted along the whole trip and then finished last.

My reading of the form is that it is in the handicappers grip at moment. Unless it has dropped back down significantly ie to its old mark i wouldnt back it tomorrow. Everything says it wont win until back at its old level. Having said that it has got course form so starnger things have happened.

I would only do it if you dont fancy anything else in the race!!!

Hope that helps

Father V
