im going to ask a quiz question ...... do you have the answer?

we have all been told 72os not a good starting hand ...........

you enter a texas holdem no limmit $1 MTT there are 325 runners and no rebuys ..... when is 72os not the worst staring hand preflop

please read the above carefully and post the answer

Is it if you are playing the MTT in area51 where the worst starting hand is AA because they will always get cracked in that place!?
Or  it could be when the dealer forgets to take the jokers out of the pack......
Or if the MTT is a six seater and there is 54 tables x 6 and just you on a table on your own so 72o/s is the best hand on that table......
Or...........i best stop now and sober up!!!.........:)

72 is a monster against 32 HU.
The odds are approximately 56% v 26% with 18% for the split (depending on suits).
72 is only generally considered worse because it has no useful way of making a straight which might make it more +EV in a multi-way pot.

The face value of the cards in your hand heads up becomes more important than your straight or flush possibilities. By this logic, the lowest hand you can be dealt heads-up is 2-3o hence 72 os is better

  62 52 42 32 was the obvious answer, but i thought this was a good question if he reworded the question which i thought he was getting at was how can 72os be better than A8os preflop?
