Dundonnell Runs in 4.05 at Newmarket today 3rd ! Ponied to start, chased winner, effort under pressure entering final 2f, driven and outpaced 1f out, stayed on same pace after, lost 2nd close home (op 7/2)       18/5/13  3.30 Newmarket Improved on facile maiden win when landing Acomb Stakes at York, and good second to Toronado in Champagne Stakes. Similar form when third in Craven on return and this a drop in grade. Winner!   Held up, headway over 2f out, ridden to chase leader over 1f out, ran on under pressure to lead well inside final furlong (op 5-2)

    Dundonnell

    18/6/13  Ascot 3.45

Improved on facile maiden win when landing Acomb Stakes at York, and good second to Toronado in Champagne Stakes. Better for return when winning listed race at Newmarket but probably not up to this.

    unplaced

Ponied to start, steadied after start, pulled hard and held up in touch towards rear, closing but running into a wall of horses and switched right 2f out, rallying and switched left 1f out, stayed on inside final furlong but no threat to leaders (op 14/1)

    18/6/13 Ascot 3.45

Imposing sort who was unbeaten at 2, and most impressive winner of Craven on return. Failed to meet expectations in 2000 Guineas but well worth another chance.

    2nd
Steadied start, held up in rear, headway on outer when hampered and pushed left 2f out, rallied over 1f out, edging right but quickened to challenge entering final furlong, sustained duel with winner final furlong, ran on strongly, just held (tchd 9/2)

Heeraat Newbury 17.15 tomorrow. Developed into a smart handicapper last year, scoring twice at York and shaped much better than the result when fifth there when last seen in October. Should still have more to offer this year. Good winner!   Made all, driven and quickened approaching final furlong, won going away (op 3/1 tchd 2/1) 04/5/13 2.35 Newmarket unplaced.   Chased leader, ridden and every chance over 1f out, no extra and one pace inside final furlong (op 9/2 tchd 5/1 in a place) 29/5/13  8.05 Beverly Developed into a smart handicapper last year, scoring twice at York, and easy winner at Newbury on return. Very respectable fourth in Palace House on latest start, and looks the one to beat here. 2nd   Tracked leaders, headway over 2f out, ridden to challenge entering final furlong, soon driven, hung left and one pace (tchd 5/4 early)

With leaders, ridden and not quicken over 1f out, stayed on same pace final 110yds (op 33/1)

Developed into a smart handicapper last year and an easy winner at Newbury on return. Didn't settle at Beverley last time and not as exposed as some, but needs to pull out plenty more to figure.

2.35 Newmarket Pearl Secret Unbeaten first 4 starts (all at around 5f), landing odds in listed event at Sandown. Not seen to best effect in Nunthorpe final start and likely to be a big player in the top sorints this year.

    Pearl Secret

    18/6/13  Ascot 3.05

Unbeaten first 4 starts (all at around 5f). Not seen to best effect in Nunthorpe in August and set to be a big player in the top sprints this year if all remains well.

    3rd.

Steadied start and soon switched left, held up, headway well over 1f out, ran on inside final furlong, going on at finish, not quite get to leaders (tchd 11/1)

The Lark 17/5/13  2.00 Newbury Pivotal filly out of a winning half-sister to Oaks/Irish Oaks winner Sariska. Improved from debut to win 1m maiden at Doncaster in October, and has plenty of scope for further progress this term. 3rd! Held up in last place, headway 3f out, driven over 2f out, kept on to close on 2nd final 110yds but no chance with winner (op 5/2, tchd 11/4 in places)   31/5/13  4.00 Epsom Out of a half-sister to Sariska. Improved from debut to win maiden at Doncaster, and shaped well when third in listed race at Newbury on return. Will stay but probably flying too high too soon. 3rd   Held up in touch in last quartet, headway on inner over 2f out, chasing leaders when switched right 2f out, went back left and headway to chase leader briefly over 1f out, switching right and kept on same pace under pressure final furlong

    The Lark

    20/6/13  Ascot 3.05

Out of a half-sister to dual Oaks-winner Sariska. Improved from debut to win maiden at Doncaster, and much better for return when excellent third in Oaks. Sets the standard on that form.
