Given stacks, you must have shoved the river. You have to think your opponent is really weak but capable of making these weak bets and still folding with those great pot odds. It's probably not going to happen enough in the long-run unless you have fairly solid reads.

Given stacks, you should have shoved the flop, I think.

You should obviously be raising pre-flop. Decent hand, in position facing a limper = Raise.

EDIT: I think you should raise-call the flop, not shove. The other stack was bigger than I thought.

yeah i shoved the river he only had 670 bk for the opponent its a standard jam on the river i was curious to why 120 maybe didnt like the strength of hes hand

I don't like it simply because he only has 600 chips behind and he'll probably find it hard to fold anything after putting in more than half his stack. We don't make enough fold.

shoving flop >>> folding turn >>> shoving river

if you were wanting to bluff from the looks of things the best chance could have been the turn because the 98 has now hit it's straight but even then i can't see the lowest stack folding. why not just raise preflop then you could raise theflop and but the small stack was probably allways going to call a jam.
