A J in position after flop facing a c-bet and re-raise...

edited April 2013 in The Poker Clinic
My bankroll is allowing me to take a look at 100NL (I beleive) so i take a look at on table while playing two still at 50NL and this is one of the early hands so I have no reads on the players, I have AJ in CO positiion and call with the knowledge that i will probably be in position after the flop or fold to a 3-bet pre. I know it's not the strongest holding but i had position on my side...

This one really quizzed me... any thoughts?

Preflop, why don't we raise it to about £7.50-£9, don't see the point in playing this hand 3 way.

On the flop after calling the initial raise preflop there isn't really a better flop we could have asked for. It depends on the range of the re-raiser and how he has been playing.

Villian 1 just looks like a contin bet, realistically what could either be sitting with, not 2 pair surely. Set of 2's, 3s maybe, JJ through to Aces, A J, K J, or a flush draw. I would probably call on the flop, to re-evaluate on the turn given we have position, if we are calling preflop with that hand, and hit it in such a big way, i dont think we can fold to a raise a reraise, which could be a continuation bet, reraise with air/ flush draw.

I would definatly flat the flop and reassess on the turn, it looks like villian 2 has a flush draw.
