How much value did i miss out on

How bad did i play this hand? I have 56of inthe Small Blind and decided to call to see a flop. When i flop the straight, i am quite happy to check to opponent who is playing every hand and raising everything, often with air. I know he is going to bluff at pots a lot, so i just check call. Same on the turn, if i reraise i am losing my customer, tho i was thinking he might have the nuts! Tho the chances are really unlikely and his bet sizing doesnt suggest the nuts. Well once we can see his cards, you probably got the most we can possibly hope for cos he can't call a raise from you at any point in the hand.

Personally, at this level once someone raises the flop and we have a flopped straight here, I'm 3betting and just trying to get the money in ASAP (obv he folds his K4 but we don't know he has complete junk).
