A speculative hand

OK I've been playing poker some what properly since christmas. So I am not the most proficient player. But I think I played this particular hand fine. But my oppenent didn't think so, he maintained that I should have folded on the flop or the turn with the straight draw. Should I have folded? I really don't think there is anything wrong with my post flop play here (except maybe I could have squeezed a bit more value), but what do you think? You should also note that everybody had been limping the table, and I figuired the small and big would just flat, so it seemed like a good time to play a speculative hand.

Assuming we're just looking at the post flop play... I can't see the stacks but flop is fine and turn is fine as long as when he bets the turn he doesn't have a tiny amount back. If he hadn't have went so small on the turn it might be a fold but he's just making it so cheap, and with the implied odds (assuming he has a decent amount back) I think we gotta call.

    post-flop sure
    ip with a straight draw

the post-flop mistake is his, being the weak bet on the turn, giving you a cheap card to see if you can hit. the only thing you did wrong was limp the button

so you are on a table with turkeys - don't be a turkey yourself - 46o not a great hand but if you want to be speculative on the button, go for it, but with a raise. you might take it down there and then, or at least narrow the field whilst leaving you the aggressor and in position
