Only been to aspers but would 100% reccomend it, usually have plenty of action including (£1-£1) and (£1-£2) games over the weekend.

    Hi John,

In case there is a misunderstanding, the Victoria Casino - aka "The Vic" is is Edgware Road, NOT Edgware.

The three venues you mention are all fine, & are all fully licenced. I would steer clear of the unlicensed venues, if I were you.

    Good luck.

If you're looking for fun then either the Empire or The Hippodrome would be the way forward.  You're right in the heart of London and can hit a good pub, club or eatery within seconds/minutes of walking out of the door.  Plus plenty of tourists (at least in the Empire) and tons of people out for a drink and a gamble.

Aspers Stratford is a fine casino/cardroom, I'm really impressed how much the poker room there has developed from opening day to how it is now, good games too.  And you can always hit the O'Neils in Leytonstone after if you're not fussy.

Only personal opinion but I would put The Vic at the bottom of my list of where I want to be on a Saturday night.

Empire runs daily tournaments in the afternoons - nice relaxed place to play

Thanks all... yeh Tikay I'll stick to licensed for sure...

I guess I'm looking for a fun and friendly atmosphere with good cash games on the go and the option to run in a tournament if possible...

so perhaps Empire or Hippodrome could be best bet for me...

although the Sat Aspers £90 freezeout sounds like it could be a one off treat (not quite within my bankroll management but hey, I don't gett he chance that often seeing as i live in cornwall!) hahah

    best
