    boom just booked my seat into spt birmingham after 2 attempts of the £5.20 sats

    this will be my first spt looking forward to it yeeee haaaaaa

    just booked in to the CAVALIER HOUSE HOTEL 70 quid for fri and sat 15 quid extra if breakfast req.its about 1.3 miles from the casino.

    won my seat last night 1st sky event cant wait the sound really good fun. a few things

    also are you allowed to use phones on the table i now u wont be allowed to make calls i.e text and use internet
     
    do u buy in to the side event and the friday event at the casino

    Pretty sure places aren't really allowed to say no to them. Not been to birmingham, but been in a few casinos and used mine without any problems.

    Hi all
    I've only just realised the SPT is next weekend (shame on me). I've played, and failed, in one satellite entry but I really would like to play this event as I have next weekend free from work. Just to clarify, is there any other way to buy in to the tournament rather than satellite in, as I might not have enough time to win one (that's my excuse), either direct on Sky Poker, or at the casino, and could I have clarification on the 'alternate list'? Apologies if this has already been explained, I've had a quick skim through but I'm a bit goosed so nothings going in :). Cheers for any info guys.

    I'm thinking weather to go to Birmingham and just hope seats are open if not just play side event grrrr I don't know what to pick lol I have to make up my mind on the day if to travel or not lol

    Hi Wizard,

    An alternates list is where they take a list of names, and usually for the first 2-3 levels, anyone that busts out will be replaced by the person at the top of the alternates list. So it really depends how many people bust out 'early' but given the fast structure, I'd imagine there will be 10 or so who bust in the first few levels so if you get there early and can gete your name near the top of the list, then you should be able to just BI direct on the day (no guarantees obviously).

    Other than that, there are a few more sats on Sky, and I think there's a live satellite at the casino giving away 20 seats if you can get there for that.

    I'll be there Friday but doesn't look like I'll get a seat for the Saturday. Might pop back as an alternate or just play the Saturday sidey too. Looking forward to meeting a few of you lot in person for the first time.

    Hi all coming to Brum on Saturday , im a reg at the broadway casino and will be playing Saturday :)
    Im told that they have about 10 seats remaining for direct buy-in but i doubt they will be available on the day so its probably best to call them
    The travelodge hotel is literally on the doorstep and parking is free beneath the casino , bring your ticket in and they will give you a validate it when leaving.
    Im not sure about parking being free for more than one evening though
    Electric cigerattes are allowed & they sell them at the bar
    Smoking area outside is right next to the card room
    Its a nice place with good atmosphere
    Good Luck

    btw the friday night comp usually has 120+ players ( £40 buy in )  5k+

    Hi all
    I won few days ago ticket to sky poker tour in Birmingham, i really wanted to go but unlikely i have to be at work on this day and i cannot make it.  I see many people is interesting to buy in directly to this event. If anyone is interesting i can transfer this ticket, all i need is user id the player who want to play this tournament and sky will do the rest for us.

    Your chips will be in play, but you shouldnt lose too much of your stack TBH. Just find your seat as soon as you can. There will be plenty of folk around to help you when you get there.
