opinion on how i played this hand please

this player had been raising behind me alot. when i hit my flop and he put me all-in,
my thinking was with 2xQ's out he may have had a queen or AA,KK,AQ ?? bad beat or bad play ??

thanks for comments GELDY,my 1st post. i generally do 3x when entering a pot,never limp,
2+ reraises,1/2-3/4 c-bets,patient,get it in ahead most of the time but getting beat by
limpers and callers?? more specific advice would be great.

Pretty much as Geldy says on this hand. You ought to be open raising to 3x at least and raising this same amount with all of your hands.

As played, you've been coolered on the flop. However, you should think about the range of hands that your opponent is likely to be 3-betting with pre-flop before deciding whether the call is right. There are many players at lower limits who will just never 3-bet with hands words than JJ. If this is one of those players, then just fold pre-flop.

There should be no "specific advice for 2p/4p" though. You should learn how to play against your individual opponents. You can be given general advice that most players at this level are calling stations who don't raise unless they have a massive hand, but that's not an excuse for failing to adapt to players who play in a different way.

Don't look for advice on "how to play at NL4". Adapt to each individual.
