Why go to a Sky poker tour?
Hiya verybodilies,
As many of you know, several members of our Sky community got together to bring me to Dublin for the Sky poker tour Main Event---- I had a brilliant time meeting everyone and I thought I had better tell peeps why it is such a good idea to go to one of these ---- please excuse my wierd punctuation ect---- half me keys don't work on me ole lappie -------
The first good thing is obviously learning that Tikay is actually a real person, and not a big cuddly teddy bear in disguise ( like Greghogg is }---
The second good thing I learnt was how to play poker!---- Its totally different live!--- you only have one chance---you are much more aware of your position, and play a far more solid game--- this can be transfered to your online game and it will make you a much better player-- I promise!
Thirdly--- I learned how to play a good cash game---- it is amazing how much better you play with your last fifty quid--lol ---
really tho lads and not so lads--- one SPT event will teach you how to play ten times better imo--- enter some side events if you get knocked out of the main event
Try to play online like you would in the main event, and your game will improve ten fold!
you will have a great time ----- and you will benefit tremendously from the experience!

you can chat to fellow forumites--- make new friends----and learn a lot from them too!
you will learn what hands to call or raise with and which hands will only get you in trouble --- very quicky!
Maybe worth a mention--- many people would never play a live cash game in a casino--- but at the SPT they will find it is good fun, and not at all intimidating--- What you learn from the experience will benefit your game online and pay for itself in the long run---- all cash players should try a live game! --- and an SPT event is the best place to do it for the first time--- even if you never play a live cash game again-- you will learn, and you will profit from the experience.
