    Gelders.

Depends how much you wish to spend.

There are Tourneys all over Vegas, at prices to suit most pockets, from around $30 up.

Caesars have daily Tourneys usually $130 & $240, at Noon & 4pm. The Caesars poker room is fantastic.

Venetian is a bit more expensive, they have Tourneys daily at Noon, 4pm & 7pm. Cheapest is about $230 I think.

If you fancy a trip Downtown - highly recommended! - Golden Nugget & Binions have some very affordable stuff, from $120 up.

In truth, EVERY Casino holds several Tourneys every day, you can enter Tourneys at every hour of the day, 24/7, from $30 up. The "juice" in Vegas is a bit steep, generally around 25% (!), but you can't have it all ways, & people happily pay it without complaining.

There is a really extensive spreadsheet below which made my eyes bleed, but if you have a little time, it may help.

The Rio, aside from the WSOP, hold "Daily Deepstacks" and these attract HUGE fields despite the vig being eye-watering, last year they were getting well over 1,000 runners EVERY DAY. Matt Bates went deep in several, chopped two I think, & I think Thewy cashed in a few. Dylan played 204 of them & never cashed once.

I saw this write up about them on Pokernews.....

They are every day at 3 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m. from May 29 until July 12. The tournaments have 30-minute levels with 25/50 blinds to start and unlimited re-entries through the fourth level. The 3 p.m. events (changed from 2 p.m. last year) are a $235 buy-in with 15,000 starting chips; the 6 p.m. events are $185 buy-in with 10,000 starting chips; and the 10 p.m. events are $135 with 5,000 starting chips.

There you go, something to think about, but if you can be more specific as to buy-in levels, & where you plan to stay (Strip, or Downtown) I may be able to help further.

    spend, teeks, spend?
    I'll be there to earn

    ok let's rephrase the question
throw in a load of arrogance
and a wish upon a fairy or two
"what is the most cost effective way to get a shot at a bracelet?"

no point going through the domestic upheaval this may cause without thinking big

I think the best way to get a shot at a bracelet would be to date and go onto marry a previous winner (e.g. vanessa selbst).  That way you can play with the bracelet whilst she's out shopping at Tesco.  She will not know that you have been parading round the house with her stuff on.

You have to really be in Vegas during the WSOP to believe the scale of it.

Personally I LOVE the Wynn and they have tournies of around 300-500$ and the field sizes aren't huge so they do seem a bit more 'winable' than most.

The Venetian has a similar feel to the Wynn BUT crucially they also run STTs for their events.  I believe any STT winners are paid out in cash to do what you want with.

Then as Tikay says the Rio is a huge, huge place.  They have 3 massive rooms of poker that are like aircraft hangers (sure Tikay can provide more details/pics of these).

If you want to play bracelet events, then the schedule is full of 1000$ and 1500$ events.  AND the best part is that the Rio also has a specially dedicated STT satelittle area, where I think the standard is pretty appaling.  These range in buy ins and close to the Main Event time they tend to focus mainly on those (in the week or so running upto the main they have 500$ Mega sats for the 10k that probably rival the biggest events in the UK in terms of amount of runners), but I think they are usually 300$.  You get paid out in 'lammers' that you can only use to buy into WSOP events OR you can sell them onto fellow poker players - weirdly caesars will not provide you the facility to cash them in thru them.

I haven't played any STTs in Vegas, as in previous years I focused on Venetian and the Wynn and cash games.  This year tho I will def be grinding them as I have my eye on quite a few of the bracelet events.

Good luck and hope to see you out there!

Flight 700-800 economy.  You can find cheaper if you are willing to take an indirect flight.

Hotels are all ranges.  I think a week at the Rio is 500 but its not that great a place to be and is only good for poker.  On the strip plenty around for all budgets, with the mid range being about the same at 500-600.

Depending on the week that you go tho as stuff like a musical festival like the EDC or Independence Day sees a hotel that charges 40 a night suddenly charge 250 a night.

    ;-)

Downtown is a must, Venetian is a well run card room as well.

To find out where the best value tournament is on at each day just follow tikay on twitter and play in the same ones as him.

Only you can decide that Gelders, but if you are after a WSOP bangle, here's the entire WSOP 2013 schedule.

thanks for the spreadsheet & pdf Tikay, and advice all

I now have a lot more information at my fingertips

still don't know what to do :-(

in the absence of VLV, how might one qualify online for some of these - i know i can just check the offerings but presumably some of the sky community may have opinions on the best ones to target

My advice would be is if you can afford it and have the time then just book and go and don't worry about the poker until you get there.

There is ENDLESS poker at all levels that no matter what you end up playing you'll have an incred time.

The cash games will be some of the best you will ever see.  The SnGs Sats are there to grind.  The Rio Daily Deepstack (or Turbo as it should be called)  gets hundreds, sometimes into the thousands of runners for a 235$BI and there is sometimes 50k$ uptop.
