Tough River Decision

edited June 2013 in The Poker Clinic
Would you call or fold the river here?

As played, i didn't really think 2 long before calling.

Opponent is a reg at the lower stake games, and is a decent player.

He check raises all in after we overbet the river? If the villain is a decent reg I think it's a fold. He's never bluffing there, and what can he have to value shove that we can beat?

9 10, KQ, JQ, AJ, JJ and 88 are all very much within our oppo's UTG raise call range. Only hands we can really beat are Q10 and Q9. Maybe occasionally a very slowplayed AA by some spewy random.

Think I'd bet less on river and curse myself for not checking back when they go over the top.

    I snap called.

Tho, it probably is a fold.

Wasn't really worried about runner runner flush/ or straight.

Turns out they had both, ace 10 of hearts.
