Reraise Pre Flop or Not?

Hi guys and girls,

Can anyone cast their eyes over this hand for me please?  We were not far from the money, I had gone from 2k to 25k in a couple of hands and then this happened:

I think I played it correct, it was a horrendous bad beat but left me wondering if I should have re raised pre flop rather than set mine?  The villan had been min raising a fair bit but on a showdown he showed a decent hand so I thought a set mine was the best option.  Post flop I think I did everything right, just suffered from my usual horrific luck!  If I had won the hand I would have been clear chip leader...I hate poker :)
