rather than just check I went for a cbet to try proving I have a good hand then o the turn I went for the jam but for some reason I still couldn't get rid of a top pair weak kicker.
was I just facing a typical calling station or did I do a bet which was too weak on the flop

similarly last night playing live i was sb vs bb with KQ (or maybe QJ)

on the river there are straight and flush draws but i have top two

i raise he min re-raises - I call and win

"but weren't you afraid of the straight" he asks

"i was afraid of a lot of things" was my reply

but when playing b vs b you can't always give them credit for having it

doesn't always work - last 3 and the sb is continuously raising over my bb - I eventually fight back aipf with my Ax - he has QQ!

basically you're repping a bigger J or QQ+ here because you're barreling  a turn card that changes nothing, the thing is people dont care what ur repping, hes got top pair an hes not folding, check the turn and fold river if yuo dont improve and leave yourself a very playable 37bbs
