Hi all, now i dont post that much but try to read most of your posts, the one thing that crops up more than most is bad beats ect, ect, ect, i have played for a good few years now at all levels and at most casinos and on line i play 14 sites, now and have seen it all basicly.just a couple of things to remember,    you play for fun, you dont play for life changeing amounts, does it really matter if someone gives u a bad beat for that £5, we all get them and always will, always say to yourself i will have another game  and move on, remember its there money, we all work for it so why not spend it, and enjoy youself if you let it get to you, you will never play your best, try limit poker no allins and the money gos round and round, then come back to no limit, think to yourself lifes to short to worry about who beat who and bad beats, just sit down put your money down and have some fun, if you dont it will drive you crazy, i would be happy to play anyone and have a good game and a few laughs , just look for me ( you can take my money easy) Well i hope this will help, just take those bad beats smile and move on ,your game will play a lot better.          see you at the tables

I heard quite a succinct version of this ethos at a live game last week, and it was really nice to hear.

A player that had started with pocket Kings, caught his set on a rainbow flop – that had no other high cards. His half pot raise was called; as were his further two 'stiffer' raises.

It transpired that the person calling these raises was chasing a 7 high flush, which he hit on the River.

In summary, the guy with Kings merely shrugged and mumbled: “No point in complaining about receiving a bad beat, because at some point soon, I'll be giving one out”.

Needless to say, he still stabbed the flush player with a cocktail stick, bit it was a nice, philosophical sentiment nonetheless.

I love donkeys, I really do.

I'm a bit too big to go on them now though, well that's what my dad keeps telling me anyway.
