Friday nights ME. Villain and I had shared the table for quite a while but had yet to really tangle. He'd been playing pretty solid poker vs others from what I saw. I don't think he'd 3bet me once, so immediately I was on alert, esp as it was UTG and UTG+1. Is it just a fold pre? Didn't like the idea of 4bet/gii, but don't think I'm deep enough to set mine, and should I be s/m with 10's?

Rip me to shreds, guys. Thanks in advance.

Fold pre, I think you should lead the turn and fold to a reraise.

However as played call and hope for any card apart from ACE or a King

no you're not deep enough to set-mine. different peeps quote different numbers but you want to be looking at 10-20x your bet as your potential winnings, and you can't do that there, and being oop makes it harder for you post flop once you have missed. given your reads, and utg/utg+1 positions then fold pre is best imho.

post flop you don't know whether he is trapping or has missed. given the size of the pot he doesn't need to bet all three streets to be able to stack you. as played it's cheap enough to call and hope as above, while bet/folding turn not bad either.
