QQ on a scary board, what now?

edited August 2013 in The Poker Clinic
Oppo had been a bit passive, limping in a lot and wanting to see lots of cheap flops.

Micro bet on the flop was a bit confusing, when he called, and then checked the turn, do i check, bet or shove?

EDIT, move to clinic please!!!!!!

why are u raising flop your not bluffing qq is perfect enough hand for showdown your turning ya qq into a bluff

when u get called here think u are beat but i dont think u should be raising this flop

I'd raise flop just out of spite after he bets 80 in to 960.

I'm not sure about raising the flop......especially so big! As played I give up.

OK, on a more serious note, the flop is probably a flat call. It looks soooo much like a draw or even a jack. Loads of draws out there. Is this why you raised?

I think i just call. Dont want to play for stacks with 2nd pair. Keeps the pot nice and small for us to get to a cheap(er) showdown.

why would we just call the 80, its virtually a check as its a stupid min bet. we would c bet this borad if its checked to us so why would we just flat the 80. i raise about 660 and see what the turn brings

Agree with Rock here, I would ignore the 80 bet, feels like a blocker to get to a cheap turn for a draw (and plenty of draws there). Turn is tough to rep after the flop raise, so you either need to bet fold or check behind and consider calling a river with K and A on board, depending on what comes.

Thanks all, i was never going to just call the terrible flop bet, i`m really not sure what oppo had here.

Sorry there`s no outcome in the hand but i found it strange, looking back i should have prob shoved with my stack but w/e.
