Sky Poker forums will be temporarily unavailable from 11pm Wednesday July 25th.
Sky Poker Forums is upgrading its look! Stay tuned for the big reveal!
New software, new beginning.
As I have posted on several threads before I have had real problems with lag and been unable to play on SKY as a result. I said in several of these threads that once the software improved I would be back.
So here I am, I have been able to easily play 3 cash game tables at the same time tonight and hence I have returned to the cash tables.
I will be starting a new diary to celebrate this return and will be focusing on the nl10 tables for the time being,
Session Profit = £2.53
Session BB/100 = 7.2
Overall Profit = £2.53
Overall BB/100 = 7.2
Bankroll = £202.53

(not sure if the software has properly been released yet or not? they might take it down and then re-add it, so you may have to take a break soon! )
glgl!
Good luck, i'll donate some money to you at some point!
Comments now appreciated.
Cheers.
Good luck with this Mr 68.
Bit gutted tonight.
Still in Cornwall playing on a really dodgy internet connection and this has probably cost me £20.
Was in the middle of the hand below when connection gave up. Re-raised All In but didn't register, pretty sure would have got the call as more than likely up against nut flush or possible smaller house.
Decided to play Main and Mini and ended up with a 98p profit across the two.
Off to The Eden Project tomorrow. Not quite sure what to expect but think it is something we need to do as a family. It just seems that it is something you need to experience if you are in Cornwall, just to say you've done it. It would be a bit like going to London but not visiting Buckingham Palace, strange how the mind works.
Watched a couple of really good programmes last night. One was on the crashing of Air France Flight 447, makes you realise how much technology rules our world, and one was on the Falkland's War most daring raid, makes you realise how brave our Armed Forces personnel are. If you get chance to watch either I would highly recommend them.
Been 2 tabling 20nl tables tonight and one of them was a mastercash table. Have to say it was a very enjoyable table, not because I won, but due to the chat that was going on. Would like to say a huge thank you to the players who were on there this evening as the atmosphere on the table was really enjoyable with hands being discussed and all the chat of a very good nature. This is why I play on SKY and what makes the site so different to every other site I have played on.
Played a really interesting hand on this table, see below, which both myself, devil tear and sonnyboy discussed afterwards in the chat box. I have asked both these players if they were happy for me to post this hand and they both were happy to be named in this diary. The question I would like to ask people there opinion on is whether I was right to value bet the river.
My thinking is that if I was behind to either a full house or a bigger flush then 1 of the 2 players would have bet the river. As they don't I think it makes sense to value bet the river in the hope of getting called by a set or 2 pairs. devil tear's point of view was that I should be checking behind and value betting in this position is a long term losing play.
Also have to mention what good value and how nice the food on offer was. I had smoked mackerel on beetroot and soft cheese all on a bruschetta with salad and new potatoes, only £7.50 and well worth it. Kids and wife had homemade Quiche, salad and potatoes for £6.50. As my 14 yr. old daughter said it was the nicest quiche she ever had, and she is a big quiche fan, it must have been good.
On the footie front, yet again the smaller club get no decisions at the big club. Despite this have to be really happy with how Villa have started the season. Think that in Tonev and Okores we could have made 2 quality signings at a decent price. Delph has really come on this season and if he carries on the way he has started he will soon be knocking on the England door. Benteke's value just keeps going up and up, my only worry will be that it is going to be harder and harder to keep hold of him come January, never mind next summer.
Session Hands = 579
Had a session this morning on 3 10nl tables. Played I thought really well, funny how I seem to play better in a morning. Maybe just more focussed and wide awake. A huge number of short-stackers seemed to be about today, don't know whether its a Sunday morning thing or just one of those days. Don't actually mind playing short-stackers as I find it is quite easy to bully them and they tend to get it in in less than optimal situations.
One interesting hand I played was the following. The villain is someone I would say is a very solid reg who I imagine more than holds there own at this level.
Should I be folding on the river. Looking back I probably should as what am I beating. So hard to put down though.
Will be playing again this evening, off to do some chores now. Garden to weed and grass to mow, 2 weeks away has it's downside. Car to clean, currently contains half of Porth beach.
Had a decent session tonight 3-tabling at 10nl. Played really well and only made 2 major mistakes. One was when I triple barrelled AK and the villain had a made flush on the flop costing me £15. The other was the hand below. What would you do in my position when you have notes on the villain that say 'seems very aggressive and capable of playing any 2'.
On the footie front a good win for Villa and was dreaming of the bluenoses in the next round, unfortunately we get a tough tie at home to Spurs.
