What was your thinking for going all in with the 9'S? Just curious :)
  • edited July 2009
well i guess looking at that ROI it shows it doesn't work for him in the long run, but yes it does seem to be the river that stings you quite often....

    chin up pez! :o)

Wrong and bad are such harsh words and Im not a good enough player to say either way mate :)

Just seemed like a massive move with a middle pair in an unraised pot especially when you weren't short etc. Did you think of making a smaller raise to find out where you were?

Feeling your pain - just been bust out of a deepstack with KK by someone who called a 4xBB raise with A6 off and spiked an Ace. I'm more mad at myself for not folding when the Ace came though...

how was this guy playing pre your all in move? have you stolen/ made the all in move alot?/ been ultra aggresive?

If you went for the standard pre flop raise, although the K came you could got him off his hand on the flop since you had position.
It just seems a lot to risk - 3k to steal 500.

the guy was limping into nearly every pot, i figured 4xbb raise may pot commit me anyway and i guess i got the guy allin with an inferior hand at the end of the day - i just seem to get beat by raggy A way too often, when i fold them, maybe i should just rip up the textbook and play any A on here.......dunno.......helppppppppppp

thats true, but if we want them to call with those hands we must be prepared to accept they will win 1 in 3 times !

eg, i just had JJ in BB with 1.6k button raised 4x BB to 400 and i knew he was stealing, i put him all in and he calls with K 9 off, needless to say he hit his K. I just added a note on him and will get him back in a different tourney.

maybe if i flat call his raise I could of got off the hand, but this guy had been raising previous with rag cards so I figured it was worth the move.
