Why couldnt I hit that fold button

Not sure if this should be posted here or in area51 because i am moaning but at same time id like to be told that you lot would fold this every time.

It was only a small stakes double your money but still it annoyed me.

After they call me pre flop raises I just couldnt put them on a hand bad enough to include a 5, both had been playing reasonably tight upto this point.  One of them could of had pocket 8's but I jsut didnt beleive it i put them both on over pairs.  Even so I should have just let them fight it out right? I was comftable enough i didnt need the chips why oh why did i hit call.

As it was i didnt know whether to laugh or cry when the cards were shown, why 2 tightish players would call with that against chip leader pre flop I have no idea.  It wasnt like i was playing loose i double up with AA and had only played 2 hands I think.

After two all ins, you've just got to admit defeat, its hard but clearly one of them has a 5. Two awful calls preflop but unless they hit massive, which they won't often you happily take it down, just crazy bad luck.

P.s You might want to remove their names from the whole hand lol.

I think most of us have been there when we know we should be hitting the fold button but for some reason our fingers won't respond to our brain!

I did it the other day in a DYM. I had AK & hit TPTK on the flop. I kept telling myself to fold cos the guy before me had check raised & I was convinced he'd hit 2 pair with K10. As it was I kept going and even paid him off when he hit his boat on the river. All this despite "knowing" what he had in his hand!!!!

I wouldn't beat yourself up over it cos in the long run you want people to call you with these hands when you've got a monster starting hand.
