If my estimations are about right, it should be about £225 for someone at your stakes, Ivan.

Depends and there's no real way of knowing for certain if you're a cash player (which I know you are).

Over 10k points, it's based completely on how much rake you've paid... but happy hours confuse the matter.

If you had 10,000 and hadn't played a single happy hour or got an early bird bonus once....

You get 6 points per £1 of rake which means you'd have paid £1666 rake so you'd get £333 back.

BUT of them 10k points you have, 1000 of them might have been through happy hours etc which has gotten you extra points but you haven't actually paid any extra rake (so it doesn't increase your payout).

So if you got 10k points but 1000 of them were 'bonus points' then you'd have raked £1500 so would get £300 back.

I did this in a spreadsheet a while ago... it's estimates cos it depends on how many poitns you've earned during happy hours etc but I've reduced the rake paid for each figure a bit to allow for some happy hours..
Points Approx. Rake RB % C4P
    10000 £1,500 20% £300.00
    15000 £2,300 20% £460.00
    20000 £3,000 25% £750.00
    25000 £3,850 25% £962.50
    30000 £4,500 30% £1,350.00

Dunno where you got these figures from paul, but I have never received anywhere near £300 for 10k points. The two months I have qualified for priority under the new system, its been nearer £230-£240 ish, well down on the £340 payable for the same points two years ago.

That's cos as far as I'm aware you mostly play SnGs and MTTs.

Take happy hours out of the equation for a minute

    SnG/MTTs = 10 points per £1
    Cash = 6 points per £1

So an MTT/SnG player gets 10,000 points so has paid £1000 rake so gets £200 back (20%)

A cash player gets 10,000 points so has paid £1666 rake so gets £333 back (still 20%)

MTT/SnG players are technically getting less £££ for 10k points but that's cos they earn points nearly twice as fast per £1 as cash players do.

Gooner v Lambo in a rakeback/promo related debate.

    Its like Messi v Ronaldo.

    Lewis v Tyson.

    Smitalos v Razavi.

Warne v Sachin (no Asian pun intended)

    Woods v Nicklaus.

    glgl both!

Lambert isn't far out with his calculations.  Last month I made 31500 points and got £1290.  In jan I made 30000 and received £1600.

Only just looked/realised when you said that, that the bar only goes up to like 100k or just over.

I know someone has got 80k points before, I reckon Sky should do a long running promotion, no time limit on it... first person ever to reach 100k gets something epic

Mmmmm, funny you should say that, aa vs aq and aaa vs 101010 spring to mind !

WP sir. Managed to finish the session up 2 bins despite multiple stackage on that table, would have been loads more if I hadnt gone to war with you! Only 400 points req for prio, will be interesting to see how much this months loot is.

Somehow I managed to get over 1000 points playing timed mtts!

Bloomin heck that's an impressive feat. I reckon if I really went for it I could get to 20k in a month, but 30k I just don't know if it's possible!

I remember when you got £280 for reaching 10k and I was asking because it seemed at 9999 points I was only going to get £200. So I've played mad over the past few days trying to reach 10k in the hope I'd get a bit more C4P for reaching priority. If it's only going to be 20-30 quid extra seems almost pointless!
  • edited August 2013
Well it's quite a bit extra... like 9999 is just under £200 I think, and 10k is like £330, worth it for 1 point.

Yeah I have been running pretty hot tonight which has been nice cos I got butchered in my morning session. Standing soon and it's looking like it's gonna be in the region of +20 BIs   (that's like 20 x 20NL BIs though, and I'm playing a few 30/40NL tables too). Last session of the month for me too so nice to end on a high.

    Got about 12k points.

i got 15 k once and i was on 6 tables 10 hrs a day no day of either some feat to get 30k in points

when i say full pink bar only the 1st bit thats all i got lol

i got 12k pts a while ago (thisyear) and got £372 Back. But that was befor the points change i think? 6 months ago. has it changed since?
  • edited August 2013
Imagine if you ended the month on 9999 points, how gutted would you be that you could potentially miss out on so much more C4P!! I resorted to playing 25/50p omaha to help me get there last night. It was a real soft table but I ran really bad at the start. I started running well though and was up almost 5 BI's by the time I left and my C4P had rocketed to the 10k!

Interesting, thats just a tad more than I used to get for priority 2 years ago . I got 10k points and £255 reward. The split was roughly 6k cash/4k mtts/sngs.

Should make 10k this month, perhaps a bit more.
  • edited September 2013
    Just  FYI....

    4k from MTTs/SnGs means (10 points per £1) you've paid £400 rake.

Then 6k from cash, maybe 1k of them were happy hours so you aint paying rake for them points so 5k points (6 points per £1) you've paid £833 rake.

    And £1233  * 20% = £246 so sounds about right.

Mehh its all relative paul, I dont deliberately play happy hours I fit my schedule around what my plans are for the day which usually means a morning and evening session. Shame sky dont do a happy hour in the morning.

Slow start to the month after the North London Derby and feeling a bit delicate yesterday! 700 points soo far. If I really put the hours in could do 15k plus but it doesnt feel worth it for the reduced rewards value. Your payout for 12k was what I used to get for 10k. No point in dwelling, it is what it is.

Dunno how your duel with IDCU came about, but I couldnt get the popcorn out last night as I was 9 tabling and glued to ssn , hurahh we actually signed a world class player!
