I'm gonna guess he had KJ, and there is the old saying about never going broke in a limped pot but I don't think I fold.

Turn card is a bit horrible you as now you beat JJ and 44. There's 4 combos of these hands (although you'd expect JJ to raise pre-flop) and 3 combos of KJ. If we say 2/3 of his JJ raise pre-flop then there's 2 combos of JJ/44 and 3 of KJ.

With more reads you could fold flop as a tight raising range OTF here will probably be KJ, sets and maybe a QTs hand. But in most low BI tourneys they could have anything here and I'm probably just going to get it in on the flop if I can. Same applies to turn really - it's just impossible to put a random on 3 combos of hands to beat you. They could easily have KQ/AK/KT/JJ/44 all hands which you beat.

What is he shoving with? KQ, AK, KJ, KT K9 K8 K7 K6 K5 K4 K3 K2 JJ 44, take the hands away you would remove from his range and decide on how many you beat. You beat JJ 44 KQ  possibly KT you lose to only KJ. Think limped pot or not you gotta go with it. Bet pot on flop aswell.

Thanks Ivan & Kalie my initial thought was if s/he had K J they would probably raise pre flop so I called the all in with fingers crossed. If there had been any sort of raise even a min I would have folded here as I am a nit anyway.

Well I was actually going to add KJ is a hand a lot of players like to limp with. They figure it's not really strong enough to raise but it's good enough to at least see a flop. Whereas hands like AK/KQ and JJ that the opponent may play like this post flop would almost always raise pre-flop. Which does make KJ a more likely possibility but as I said w/o reads on the player we are just too strong to be able to fold here.

Thank you very much sir! Though slightly disappointed I couldn't take it down :(

Probably one of the more annoying aspects of poker is when you're minding your own business in the BB with junk like K4, just waiting to muck it and move on, yet get caught up in a hand that you can't lay down through no fault of your own!

I don't think anyone lays down that hand in that spot, we simply beat way too much and only lose to one hand basically. Just unlucky to get caught up in it all.

    Hi sir

    NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!!

You just can't fold as there's too much that would play the same way with worse. And never forget MR AA who falls in love pre and will not lot go.
