30NL - OP Then Rivered Top Set 3-Way 150xBB deep

edited September 2013 in The Poker Clinic
Flop should probably be a tad bigger but otherwise I think pre/flop/turn are standard it's just down to the river....

I was really torn about what to do on river, I have a pot sized bet left (pretty much) so seems a standard shove spot for value to get called by 2prs and smaller sets but people don't like calling off 100xBB shoves without the nuttaments.

What do you do?

I would bet about just over 50%/ 60% pot to get some value.

It's such a dry board, i can't see either calling a shove, unless they do indeed have a lower set, which it doesn't look like as played. In saying that what are they calling with, atleast one, AJ?

Is Aj calling a shove probably not, what reads do you have/? Would really be dependant on reads, if you felt you were getting paid by a shove, 50/60% bet you are probably getting value from atleast 1 opponent.

I shove almost every day of the week (except tuesdays - I run really bad on tuesdays)

10 8 is really the only hand youre worried about.  K10 got there but theres no way K 10 is calling two streets here.

If he perks up with 10 8 its just a bit fat MEH and move on.

But yeah theres a bucket of hands that'd call a shove here.  Plus I think a shove looks a lot weaker than betting 40-60% when oppo knows you want a call.

maybe laugh and shove then cry a little

    c/f obviously one has a straight :D

Yeah I'm not worried about being beat (although very occasionally I will be).

It felt like a standard ship pot because the pot is all set up for my PSB shove... but the more I think about it I reckon a lot of players will still think 'god that's a 100xBB shove, I wanna have the nuts to call a bet that big' even though it's a PSB.

Sets and 2pr are the most likely hands imo (and of course the odd weak 1pr, missed straight draws and straights).

u can bet like £13, all sets will shove on you unless they nits/weak tight and scared of straight
     - 1 pr/2prs will call

if u decide ya not b/f then if they have str - what ya gonna do

probs only sets/str calling shove - think it's highly likely one of them may have a str

u have no bluffs in your range on river so.....and neither do they......so.....

    shove or £13 b/c

the more nit/weak tight they are I prob shove

if they capabe of shoving sets/2 prs over the top on river then b/c £13

    think it's pretty close

Yeah think it should have been around the £13 mark, I regretted shoving as soon as I did it. I'm not bet/folding, if they have the str8 then meh.

FWIW, I shipped and got 2 big fat folds.

I might check vs these two particular villains...but betting smallish can't be too bad.
