Agree with LadyFingrs, pot this all day long. Drives out the drawing players as they're not getting odds to call and you're likely to get AJ hands etc calling all day long.

better to lead because people wont bet one pair hands often or will check behind with Q's or 8's not giving you the chance to c/raise

I think you where disapointed with a fold, but thats probably best result as this is going to be a difficult hand out of position as there are so many cards you dont want to see.

Played perfectly, if you give him right odds he can make right call, with pot bet he's making the wrong call which will benefit you over time.
