Sky sent emails to a vast majority of people saying "complete survery" and be entered into 3 freerolls.
When people went to complete these surveys it said the survey has been withdrawn.
In my opinion, it's pretty poor.
I spoke to CC they stated the emails were sent out to to many people - it was only meant to be a small sample of customers. They went onto say that this was an error and that's just the way it is.
It's not really acceptable to say it's a mistake we are sorry. If sky is sending emails to people stating "complete a survey and gain entry to 3 freerolls" this should be honoured.
It's no wonder you get regular players who get annoyed at these constant 3-4k freerolls appearing and no one knows the criteria on being selected. I highly doubt it is random and see no reason why Sky can not come out and state the reason / rationale behind who is selected.
It wouldn't surprise me if it was people that hardly play on the site and this is there way of trying to get them back playing on the site, which i can't really see.
The syndicate freeroll was one of the best things Sky introduced, and they ended up scrapping it. The current freerolls are pretty poor imo. The 7 o clock one each night your starting stack is worth 30p.
People will say well it's "free" what do you expect?
It's about added value in my opinion, which i don't see at the moment.
It would be brilliant if Sky could bring back the syndicate freeroll and introduce 1 big freeroll a week that would be worthwhile taking part in.

+1 this survey freeroll has turned in to a bit of a farce, mistakes were made on skys part and a bit of clarity prior would have probably prevented it.
But on the other side of the fence, sky do a great job imo so keep up the good work, cheers.

Myself,Lambert ,Tikay and many more have given the reason (on this and many other similar threads) SKY can not do this. Just go back to page 1, read Lamberts post and you have the answer. Again.

Does Lambert's post explain why its called the "60 minute football freeroll" and not the "cash table survey freeroll"? I didnt complete the survey, but i can see why some players are getting a bit peeved by this....maybe explain it in the lobby?

I cant believe some of the whinging thats going on in this thread. If you fit the criteria for these freerolls you will be invited. If you dont fit the criteria you wont. Is it really that hard to understand.

I disagree, it even states in the lobby the people were "randomly" selected.
If there was a reason, there would be no harm in stating that reason, it's not a matter of privacy at the end of the day it is an alias, not a persons name. I was in holiday in tenerife a couple of years back, there was a crowd there who had won a holiday playing through some Bingo site, do you think it needs to be a secret they won a holiday from playing Bingo online? No
I understand where you are coming from, the fact some people are "selected" and for those that arn't it shouldn't concern them.
It really makes no difference to me, but clearly with the amount of threads asking for passwords/ how can i play this freeroll/ why is it so selective, it is annoying a lot of people.
This is the first time i've responded in such a thread. I would say these people have extremely valid points, that are not really answered.
It was quite a big own goal by sky sending out these emails by mistake. There wasn't even a subseqent email sent out stating it was an error.

Agreed. But if you were sent an email to say complete this survey and you can enter these freerolls...and you followed these instructions and entered fine. some players were sent these emails and tried to complete the survey and told sorry it was a mistake. Then the mistaken players are resent an email to take the survey again, but this time you were going to be randomly be selected to win £10 out of 25 players...fine. Then the freerolls appear in the lobby stating a "football" freeroll? On twitter account it says its the survey freeoll. Now the people who cant get in who were mistakinly sent the survey freeroll want to know why they cant get in! I was never sent the survey email but I can see how these threads esculate, maybe if Sky would give more clarity these threads would never start.
3 page thread over a freeroll! Sky, just have no freerolls, ever. If people wanna play for money then deposit. If not, use the free tables. Sorted. Posted by hhyftrftdr
Amen to that.
I am now self excluding myself from any freeroll talk.
larson I agree 100% that if sky mess up they should apologise but I disagree 100% that we need to know anything about tournaments that we are not invited to the fact that sky is holding a private tournament for some people should be of no interest whatsoever to anybody else and the fact that some busybodies think they should be included says more about their greed than anything else.

Agreed this 3 page thread is ridic, but this is an open forum for all stakes players right?

As it happens I was sent several of these emails, 1 I believe said it was for cash players. As I have never played cash on Sky it obviously wasn't for me.
I get dozens of emails from Stars, FTP, Party poker, Some are relevant some are not. I dont complain about it, I just ignore the ones of no relevance.
The word freeroll means that SKY are giving money away. It's for them to decide who to give it to and why. If they decide not to contribute to my bankroll I have no grounds to complain and I certainly shan't do so.
I am so glad SKY have listerned and have got rid of the password into these freeroll's.
Saying that i thought this would stop loads of threads asking for passwords, instead we have peeps moaning about SKY not granting everyone entry into these FREEROLLS.
SKY can't win either way, and if this carries on then SKY might as as well drop all freerolls from the lobby.
Rant over, gl all at the tables (even the freebies lol)

TOTALLY UNFAIR SKY. Treat us equal. : this is not the 1st weekend i havnt been selected. Every week im not selected. My point is when only 300 players have entered out of a possible 1500. Why not let us that want to play these freerolls enter 1st come 1st served. Why let 1200 seats stay empty. Customers are paying to be here. Surely its fair we all get a chance to enter if we wish. Its just good buisiness sense really. Instead of alienating the rest of us. Posted by DOFFA

you can't have milk vouchers if you don't have a schoolkid you can't have an OAP bus pass if you are not old enough you can't enter a private freeroll if you are not invited and like the first two, if you don't meet the criteria you will never be invited. is that wrong? No should you be upset? No do you have a leg to stand on? I'm guessing not what don't you get? Posted by GELDY

That does not mean the tourney should have that number of entrants. Tonights main event has up to 1000 but will get around 250 does that mean SKY should let 750 in free? Posted by jonjo75
