Would you-re-raise the river?

edited September 2013 in The Poker Clinic

On the river here would you re-raise it?

The hand itself, the raise pre, people like to see flops, so i'm just charging them to do that, i expect a call by one opponent which is what i'm looking for.

On the flop when i miss, i've got position so am happy to see a free card.

When i hit on the turn i should maybe bet a bit more.

On the river, would you be re-raising here, and folding to a further raise?

I was just coming to the end of a session and was quite happy to call, it was literally going to be my second last hand. But overall, is it always better to be raising in this spot? If i had raised it i would prob have went to about £1.20.

No. The guy possibly has KQ - albeit passively played - a fairly standard holding... especially as he is leading the river. I would usually just call. Sometimes I will raise, but as you know, it depends on the villain. If it was you, I'd probably raise ;)
