Playing a shortstack on cash...

No real reads on villain however he seems quite passive and will call for draws.

Question is how much to bet on the turn?  He's a shortish stack.  Should I be the betting smaller to give him room to bluff if he wanted and giving him better odds or should I be betting bigger to commit him to the pot?  He could have an ace... he could have any draw so there is no guarentee I get his stack if I bet small and he misses river...

Small-ish imo, keep his range as wide as possible and make the river all-in tiny compared to the size of the pot.

I'd bet something like £16.

Haha.

So our options so far on this thread are... £12...£16...anywhere from £15-20 and shove for £40ish.

Im just waiting for someone to perk up and tell me to check so I can be properly confused.

I might consider checking. We have one hand where we don't need to worry too much about giving a free card and if we're ever going to bluff raise flop we need to protect our checking range OTT by checking some strong hands.

not a good board texture to be c/r bluffin in this spot and if we did it'll be bad to not barrell imo

Well i bet £18... which he called.

Then I shipped the river which was a total brick and he decided to fold...  odd one that as there was 77ish in the pot and he had 22 behind.  He must have had a higher flush draw...
