FWIW I think hand 1 is a mistake. You ran into the bottom of newstart's range for c/shoving that turn and even that still had a good 29%ish equity? All other hands you're crushed by. Hand 3 is probably fine but I dunno with reads we may be able to fold here. I remember seeing the first season of the sky poker cash game and Matt le tissier had QJ against carlo citrone's AK on the exact same flop. Carlo went broke even though it was pretty obvious he was probably beat!! Hand 4 I think is a clear fold OTT because villain is either massivly in front OTT or has plenty of outs vs us.

STOP POSTING BAD BEATS!!! I admire your decision to have a go at turning 'pro', but since that announcement, I have seen a few threads from you bemoaning your luck and posting losing hands. Who cares??. Do you see other pros on this site doing the same? 

I hope you realise I am saying this as a mate and not a hater and you just need to focus on playing poker and embracing the variance of the game. I know you can succeed and achieve your goal! 

My advice is if you have a bad day/session, just take a break and do something else......like go for a pint or two!

Funny you shuold say this Alan cos I was thinking the exact same thing after this latest thread. I haven't taken offence or anything, cheers for the post.

It's been a pretty horrible couple of weeks but yeah I completely agree with everything you've said.

Disagree, we need people posting bad beats. As a player who plays at a lower level and one day looking to take bigger shoots, you can see there are bad players at all levels and if I was looking at moving up I have to accept this and get use to the bad beats and have the bankroll to take these. So its good learning material for all.

And if we did not have posts such as these, we would not have a brags, beats and variance section and imagine life without one?
