Now I know not to bother triple barrell bluff against this guy as he just will not give up his weak top pair.  Please note that I have been sat down fir around 45 mins and have played reasonably tight and not shown a bluff.

He took a while to call the turn, so I figured that a reasonable river bet which looks like a value bet would be enough to make him fold.

What are your thoughts on how I played this hand?

    What beats him?

    JJ+,JTs+,JQo+

    What he beats?

    A9s,ATs,AQs,AKs

    ATo,AQo,AKo,

    KQo,KQs,KTs,QTs

    TT

That's a fair range wouldn't you say? so he's 28.8% vs 71.1% but cannot lay down top pair weak kicker because his sixth sense knows for a fact that I have no J, set or over pair. LOL

Bat beats belong in BBV. In the 2nd hand your logic is funny:
Now I know not to bother triple barrell bluff against this guy as he just will not give up his weak top pair.
And then you go and do exactly that and get called. Don't think with these guys that you need to start bluffing them otherwise they'll begin to figure out that you only ever bet vs them when your value betting. Just keep value betting and only if you begin to notice them fold more should you start thinking about adding some bluffs in.

This board is terrible to 3-barrel vs a fish though. It doesn't change one bit so if he had top pair OTF he still had it on the river and isn't folding. If the board runs out 674QA and you have 89 then this may be a 3barreling spot vs them as the board runs out scary if he's holding any 6,7 or 4. In his mind a lot of hands beat him whereas on the J high board - not so much.

In geeral you just want to c-bet once and give up though in most spots againstt calling stations. A lot of times I won't even fire a c-bet though. Oh and I can't say this enough: value bet them to the death.

If you know the guy is abit of a calling station and hes calling the flop cbet on a 4dJd4c flop then then the 9s turn isnt going to scare them.
The 3c river wont scare them either I would of check folded turn thb and make a note not to bluff this guy just to make decent value bets against them as you know they will call you down light

Thanks for the input guys, but I did not know he was a calling station until I had played this hand.  If I had known he was a calling station I wouldn't of dreamed triple barrelling.  I thought at 30NL some players might actually give a player who is sat at the table playing tight (me) a bit of respect.  At least now I know, so I will look forward to playing the cash again.
