I played this hand pretty bad! What would you bet on the turn / river?

edited October 2013 in The Poker Clinic
I was 6 tabling, so i don't really have any great reads to be fair.

I'm quite happy betting the flop, the turn card is about the worst card i could have seen, i decide to check the turn, which with 2 players behind/ board texture i don't mind to be honest.

Would you be betting the turn here?

How much would you bet on the river?
45ten Small blind  £0.02 £0.02 £9.26

Raise more pre. Bet the turn to set up a jam on a none diamond river.

What do we do if thats the Jd on the river? We should be betting the turn IMO.

28p pre.  Bet turn as played.

Oh and river its ok to go reasonably small... like £1-£1.50

What do you know about your 2 villains?

Seem pretty passive - which if they usually are, then definitely should carry on betting the turn.

If they are normally aggro but have become passive on this hand, may be a cause for concern, but I would still bet the turn.

What was the thought behind the check? Are you repping a c-bet having missed flop? Hoping to check/raise? What are they betting with that they wont call with?

The 2 checks behind on the turn limit the value you can in on the river, unless a villain was on QJ or JJ.

£1ish seems about right as played.

I'd be betting bigger than that, but I'd have bet the turn to create a larger pot to effectively stick the villains in on the river. If they are gonna call a quid, they'll probably call a lot more.

Want maximum value for when villain turns up with the case A in their hand as they won't put it down.
